Exactly.

He didn't break anything so thats great news.

If it were truly as bad as some were fearing he would have been on crutches or taken to mgh for further evaluation.

Hopefully it's just a slight hyperextension or something. I did that once and limped around for a day or two, but was okay after that.

you can walk without a limp with a blown acl/mcl, i knew people in college that did it. The initial pain is immense but until you get surgery there's really no pain. You just can't do anything remotely athletic on it because you have zero stability.

Key here is that he is not wearing anything on knee or leg, Like I said earlier, think it was just a tweek, but we shall see soon enough,Beads are out for prayers

I hope he is ok but the wheel chair could be a precautionary measure.

I was put in a wheelchair for 10 stitches to the head and a mild concussion once, when I could walk just fine. Told them I didn't need it, but they insisted. After that, a wheelchair doesn't mean much of anything to me.

I happened to miss the 'injury' on 55, but I wanted to chime in --

If he was limping, it could be anything, really. You can definitely walk/limp with a torn ACL/MCL/LCL/PCL. Some people don't even know they have them until the dreaded MRI reveals it. Though I'd ***** myself if he was out for the rest of the year, I think we'll still be ok.

Anyone have a link/video of the play so I can analyze the mechanism of injury??

It looked bad but since he limped off on his own maybe there is hope.

It is standard protocol. Liability is the reason behind it. They are going to treat you but be assured, they are covering their own butts at the same time.

You are probably right but in the 10 years I have been sitting there it is the very first time I have ever seen they wheel a chair into the tunnel to take some one out.

Rest up Johnny B. I hope you will be fine soon.

Boychuk is one tough customer, so let's try to stay positive.

to my knowledge this is correct. in high school i tore my mcl and miniscus on a leg check, was able to limp off the ice and around the next few days until i got my brace/crutches

If McQuaid is back there's no need to rush Boychuk back.
Corvo should be able to handle the Sens.

actually, the femur is above the knee boys. You all were talking about either the fibula or tibia

Corvo can't handle a cup of coffee without spilling it.

I'd play Mottau over him. Heck, I'd welcome back Dave Lewis over Corvo. Guy can handle a puck in the offensive zone, but defensively? Good grief!

I've become as big a detractor of Corvo as anybody (well, OK...maybe not anybody), but the few games I've seen Mottau he's looked pretty overmatched to me. That Mottau/Zanon pairing against the Rangers was just brutal - and it wasn't Zanon's fault for the most part. Bottom line is both Corvo and Mottau scare the feces out of me...pick your poison IMO.
