1) Rangers - Any Rangers point or any Penguins loss
2) Bruins- locked in already
3) Panthers - Win
4) Pitt/Phi - Any Penguins loss or Rangers point clinches 4/5 finish for them
5) Pitt/Phi - Any Flyers point clinches 4/5 finish for them
6) Devils - Flyers point + Devils win and any Senators loss (or Devils OT/SO loss + Senators regulation loss)
7) Senators- Any Senators point
8) Capitals/Sabres - no scenarios
If we have these outcomes tomorrow:
OT in the Rangers/Flyers game (or Flyers win and any Penguins loss)
Panthers win vs. Winnipeg
Devils win vs. Islanders
Senators OT/SO loss vs. Hurricanes
We will have 1-7 all locked up except home ice for the 4 v 5. Three match-ups will be officially determined already (Bruins vs. Senators, Panthers vs. Devils, Penguins vs. Flyers).
bonus: Sabres loss can lead to the Capitals clinching the 8th seed and finalizing all playoff match ups Thursday night.
To put into my standard format for tomorrow in the East...
Florida can clinch the Southeast Division and the #3 seed in the Eastern Conference with a win of any type against Winnipeg
The NY Rangers can clinch the Atlantic Division and the #1 seed in the Eastern Conference with a win OR an OT/shootout loss against Philadelphia, OR a Pittsburgh loss of any type against Boston. The Rangers can also eliminate Pittsburgh from the Presidents' Trophy race with either.

The Rangers can also clinch if Pittsburgh loses in any fashion.

Weird; I was cutting and pasting some info and must have lost that in the way. Good eye.

Eh! I liked doing the Devils only one, not sure how fun it would be to keep track of the entire league. Too much work :p Good job on this though, I used some of your methods and notations for my thread.
Huge day coming up tomorrow. As strange as it seems, with 10 games on tap and 4 of 5 Pacific Division teams in action, no clinching or eliminating can take place in the Western Conference. A lot of jostling for position, yes, but nothing with any finality. In the East...

Florida can clinch a playoff spot with one of the following:
- A win against Winnipeg (would also clinch the division), OR
- An OT/shootout loss against Winnipeg AND a Buffalo OT/shootout loss against Toronto, OR
- A Buffalo regulation loss against Toronto
It appears the Kings need 4 points to clinch the division, not 3 (and that is only if you assume ROW points-earning, otherwise it could be 5). If Phoenix wins out the Kings will need 97 points. They have 93 now. Kings have the tiebreaker with Phoenix currently.

Yeah, it should've been 3 to clinch the playoffs and 4 to clinch the division. It's been corrected.
Thanks!
It's also that fun part of the year where fractional or decimal numbers exist. Colorado, for example, is 1.5 right now. If Phoenix loses tonight, Colorado can be eliminated if they lose 1 more point because no matter what, that would put them (at best) into a tie with Phoenix, and they couldn't stay alive because Phoenix holds the R/OW tiebreaker. On the other hand, if Phoenix adds 1 point, they can't eliminate Colorado because they wouldn't be able to force the R/OW tiebreaker. Hence, 1.5
EASTERN CONFERENCE
#1 - NY Rangers (clinched #1 seed)
#2 - Boston (clinched #2 seed)
#3 - Southeast Division champion (clinched #3 seed)
#4 -
#5 - Pittsburgh (can move up)
#6 -
#7 - Philadelphia (can move up)
#8 - New Jersey (cannot make top-4), Ottawa (cannot make top-4)
should read
#1 - NY Rangers (clinched #1 seed)
#2 - Boston (clinched #2 seed)
#3 - Southeast Division Champion (clinched #3 seed)
#4 -
#5 - Pittsburgh (can move up to 4th)
#6 - Philadelphia (can move up to 4th), New Jersey (can move up to 5th)
#7 -
#8 - Ottawa (can move up to 7th)
With such a light slate of games tomorrow, I'm probably going to sit down and iron out the seeding scenarios as well as the draft scenarios. I intend to finish up the day after the regular season ends with the contingencies for the draft order.

Bottom is correct, though maybe easier like this:
1- Rangers
2- Boston
3- SE Champion (Panthers/Capitals)
4- Penguins/Flyers
5- Flyers/Devils/Penguins
6- Flyers/Devils
7- Ottawa/Capitals
8- Ottawa/Sabres/Capitals/Panthers
as in, those are the teams that can claim each spot.

Shouldn't 8 be Ottawa/Buffalo/Washington/Florida? Florida would be the eighth seed if Florida loses out in regulation, Washington wins out, and Buffalo fails to win out.

yea, my bad.
I'm kind of locked into a Devils vs. Panthers first round matchup so overlooked that!
