According to Jeff Patterson:

Ballard and Bieksa are full participants in practice, no Tanev or Kassian though.

Ben Kuzma is speculating that Kassian's upper body injury is a rib problem.

According to Mike Gillis on Team 1130this morning Kassian is having an MRI to determine the extent of the injury. Hopefully it is not that serious.

Here is the interview - see the 11:20 mark:

Daniel is not skating yet. Hasn't since the concussion. Why do I fear the club is not being honest and he may not be ready for playoffs?

Also said Kassian "suffered an injury that isn't that serious but we don't know the extent of it yet"

So hopefully this means that he'll just need to miss the last couple of games and will be ready for the playoffs.

According to GMMG today he is exercising and expected to be ready for the play-offs the way he is progressing but there always can be a change. See the 10:35 mark:

Ballard has been cleared for contact and will travel to Calgary but is not yet ready to play.
Keith Ballard will also be aboard Air Canucks, traveling for the first time since he resumed skating with the team, but he will not play Thursday. Coach is still working out who will slot in and out over the final two contests, but Ballard, who practiced with a blue helmet indicating hes cleared for contact, said he doesnt feel ready to go.

Not yet, no, said Ballard. Im more ready than I was yesterday, but I need to continue to practice. This was just my third team practice after being out for seven weeks, so Ive skated a lot on my own, but this is a lot different. I need to keep practicing.

Since the playoffs start 6 or 7 days from today and Daniel is still just working out on his own, I would be shocked to see him in the 1st round.

Doesn't the protocol say three days of exercise on the bike for Daniel and if no symptoms he can start skating? This would mean he could start skating tomorrow if no setbacks?

Tanev isn't "out." just a maintenance day.

Why? That seems like a normal schedule to me.

You got to be kidding me, kassian is now injured? Great. Ribs? Not good. For someone who is valuable because he can't throw his weight around. This makes me nervous. Can't this team stay relatively healthy!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Anybody see where he suffered the injury late in the 2nd? did it look harmless?

I thought Daniel's been on the bike and such for a few days already, and could've been on the ice now. Nothing wrong with taking a few extra days on the bike, just in case, we can always bring Daniel back halfway through the series too. Daniel still has a week to be on the bike a bit more and then, hopefully, skate. Just happy he's creeping closer to a return.

I'm thinking Daniel won't play in the next two games but will have a few hard skates before the first round. Him and his brother are the best conditioned players on the team after all.

Agreed. If anything, Daniel will need one to two days at the most to get his skating legs back, but he won't get those entirely until he plays in a real game, so I hope if he's ready (symptom free), they play him rather then keeping him out longer so he gets his "game legs" by playing in practice.

Just please oh please be symptom free after skating for a few days.

Duncan Keith returns to Chicago's lineup tonight. Meanwhile...

It would be so funny if he is practicing with henrik's jersey on just to milk the concussion thing. I'm sure the Canucks were ripping the NHL on dan's condition to push for a longer suspension. I could be completely wrong. I just hope Dan will be healthy soon and never has concussion problems again.

I'd be disgusted if Canucks / Vancouver media could not legitimately tell the difference between Daniel and Henrik after being around them for TWELVE YEARS.

It's like people here have never actually seen twins before.

Yeah, that's totally sad. They look and sound pretty different to me.

When standing next to each other I'm pretty good at seeing who is Henrik and who is Daniel. But when alone, no chance.

I only got 10/20 at the "Daniel or Henrik" game, that's as good as a coin toss.

Really? I got 18 out of 20 on that with one of the wrong ones being the really old picture. I don't think it's that hard to tell the difference nowadays. Their faces look a little different and the expressions they usually have are unique from each other.
