I read this on TSN from a Flyers' fan after last night's game vs Philly:
One more thing I'll add about the Rangers' season: I honestly hope their fans enjoyed it, took the time to appreciate what they have done. They played well all season, were so consistent. It was impressive. I do think they'll come out of the East, but I hope people don't judge them harshly if they don't. This isn't a six-team league anymore, and I, for one, refuse to discount what a team accomplishes over an 82-game season if it doesn't win the championship. I'm totally serious: I was that impressed with the Rangers this season. Playing hard like they did nearly every night...not nearly enough teams do that, and I hope more people appreciate how they did it who are fans of the sport, even if they like other teams.
^ That says it well. I've been watching the Rangers since 1975, and this was hands-down one of the best seasons I've ever seen from them. Hats off to the team on a great season.
I agree with what the Flyers fan said. In the end, everybody want titles and cups, but this year's Rangers has been a joy to follow. They have already achieved something special in my book..
That guy possesses 99% of the Flyers' fanbase brainpower.
I'm still in shock, for the first time in 15 yrs I wasn't even pumped at the beginning of this season, expecting another mediocre year from the blue shirts , go figure
Have to say watching you guys steam roll us is impressive. Last night there was some great D and when that couldn't hold hank was truly amazing. I really hope he wins the vezina. Yea I'd be proud of your team no matter what in the playoffs. Most consistent team all year. Pens bruins us have been pretty streaky.

I think that the D was worse than in any other games against the Flyers all year. We had some amazing defensive efforts against the Flyers. It's impressive to hold the #2 offense in the league to less than 2 goals per game in 6 games. Ditto the #3 offense in 4 games in the Bruins. The Pens offense gives us problems though.
HATE to agree with a Flyer fan but i have been thinking the same for a while now. I have faith that NY will have a nice playoff run, even believe this group can win a Cup but what a joy its been to support this group of players. All starts with Cally, leadership through example.
btw JayQueens...nice one on the Etown Avatar. great band, not well known either. wish they were still active
This is the most hard-working Rangers team in my lifetime. They remind me of the Knicks of the early to mid 1990s when they had Oakley, Mason, Starks and others jumping into the stands for the ball.

I bet they're Devils fans!
5 Minute Major are totally Rangers fans
2 Man Advantage are Islander fans
NYxHC!

I COMPLETELY agree with this. If the Rangers were swept out of the first round, i'd still be damn proud of the team, and say they took a giant step forward in their organization. step 1 is learning to win in the regular season, step 2 is learning to win in th eplayoffs...ppl forget just how damn young this team is. something like the 5th youngest team in the NHL, and the youngest playoff team by far (if memory serves me right)

I agree...but it would be a crying shame if this squad didn't at least win a round after the season they just had. That said, their best hockey is yet to come.

I disagree.
After how great they've played this year, a first round exit is a choke.
With guys like BR, Rupp and Feds, who know the PO's, and guys who SHOULD be hungry like Gabby, Cally, and everyone else really, a first round exit is unacceptable.
Not to say this team isn't great, but i'm measuring the success of this year by the PO's.
