eeeeeeeew, this is why the Zuccarello injury stunk so much............I say Wellman who you didnt mention is more a 3rd line guy not a grinder so errrrrr I guess Newubry.........Deveaux even has more offensive ability than Scott

Torts already said he won't rest anyone, unless he thinks they need it to rest an injury.

Ask the Canucks what trophy they would rather have won last season.
Look at the home/road splits on some of those teams out West. Home ice advantage could be huge. It certainly doesn't guarantee anything, but I think it's something worth shooting for if it's within reach.

Yeah Bourque has been **** this year. He was a marginal prospect to begin with.

Tort's will not sit anyone. The players don't get another paycheck after Saturday and there is a lot of money awarded to the team that wins the Presidents trophy. There will be no one called up!!! $15,000 per player is worth winning it!!!

Would it be good to bring up Deveaux?
When he first appeared, he looked like a fit, in my opinion. Later, he made a few bonehead choices (not just the game which resulted in suspension, he kind of lost his way in previous games).
I have to admit that I do not know how he has been playing lately.

My own thoughts are that I would not mind seeing him up again. This is based on the premise that if the choices are Deveaux, Newbury or Scott, I lean toward the player who is not Newbury or Scott.

Don't understand all the Newbury hate. He had a couple bad games--it happens. He can be a rugged little bugger. The season before he played several good games for us.

Deveaux is alright. His skating isn't terrific but it is passable.

One thing not mentioned--Bickel could go back on the wing and Eminger back to the bottom pair--or even vice versa.

The problem with resting players, that aren't injured, is that it could be taken as a sign of weakness. Just my opinion, I don't think we should back down from anyone. And a win could be important down the road since we haven't been that good against Pens.

Whether there are callups and people are rested or not, I am going to be watching the next two games on the edge of my seat hoping no one important gets hurt.

Newbury sucks, and has sucked every time he's been up here. Would be less harsh if I saw progress, but he's just now showing me much and is limited in dimension as to potential he has to offer.

Bickel + Scott on W (different lines) makes sense. rest our guys, be ready for anything

Bickel-Scott-Deveau in and leave a couple of guys out for rest . Somebody lay a beating on Enggland and Ashem . LOL...I don't care if I spelled them wrong either . The minute somebody hits Staal , Gabby , Richie or Cally dirty...send out the goon squad like we did on the Devils and don't stop until we have more than a pound of Penguin flesh . Sound a bit harsh...nah...it's playoff time and it is time to get our groove in gear !!!!!!!
