While that would be hysterical to see, they wont. Can't afford to, and they know it. I'm sure they'd like to trade Luongo, but there aren't going to be many that want to touch that contract. Not to mention Lou would have to waive his NMC to go anywhere, and I highly doubt he'd do that.

The Yotes are the luckiest team in the world. They also get so much love from the league.

If there's another amnesty buyout period when the next CBA is hammered out (and you can bet a few owners will be asking for it...and some will of course be opposed) the Canucks will buy out Luongo without blinking an eye.

That ain't luck. That's Sean Burke and Dave Tippett working their magic. It's too bad their magic is finding ways to kill offense, but it works.

They're great at clearing the shooting lane and letting the puck hit their monster sized goalie. Not to say Smith hasn't been good. No 50+ save night is an easy one but if Smith is standing where he needs to be, he can go down no problem and get most shots.

I have nothing but respect for Coyotes. They are being competitive despite being in a really ****** situation. This ESPN story is a highly recommended read and illustrates the conditions they work under.

I respect their manager but hate everything else about them.

Its all good FLA will make the post season but they look like the weakest playoff team in either conference.

I feel bad for Buuds. Guy doesn't deserve the crap he gets. 3 of the last 4 teams he's had the pleasure of playing on will finish bottom 3 in the league.

LOL, anyone see Steen grab Kronwall around the head/shoulders and throw him to the ice? And amazingly, there was no penalty called. Imagine that.

The refs are such a joke. Kronwall cross checks Perron into the net, after a whistle, no call. Very next shift, Steen hammers Bertuzzi after the whistle, and gets called for roughing. Terrible.

I don't think nhl.com should have all this hype about Stamkos joining the 60 goal club until he's at 59, especially with only one or two games left this year.

Montreal played very well against Stamkos tonight , the problem is that Tampa Bay were passing to puck to much to him.

Rather have them winning and face Nashville instead of LA or SJ.
