Another line with 3 60pts players including 2 30 goals scorers? we can dream, can't we?

Stamkos missing countless chances in the 2nd when the game was still hanging in the balance. It was almost as if he wanted to reach 60 in his hometown.

Lecavalier a ghost aside from the Budaj set-up. Did Malone even play?

All that firepower and they donít even score a legit goal, ridiculous.

But all of a sudden we start doing the sensible thing and we use our small and mobile defencemen to join the attack? **** off coaching staff. Now we are a good home team that canít lose in regulation and start strong. Budaj, a near guaranteed lock to give up 3 goals most of the season, now is giving up 2 a game in the last 2 games. Infuriating.

Simply put, tomorrow is one of the most important days for this franchise since 1993. I am not joking either. The great thing is we can win and still clinch a top 3 slot in the lottery if we get help. But the way things have been going since the Oilers game on Monday night, I am concerned. It could be the difference between a difference maker or merely a nice player if we stupidly win 1 of these 2 final games. I am already ready to concede the #2 pick to EDM, just stay at #3 at least.

If it comes down to Saturday and the situation is either we get the 3rd slot with a loss or could fall to 7th if we win and other teams lose on that day, I may not make it.

If Geoff Molson knows what is right for him, he steps in and demands that Markov is not on the trip to Carolina (Kaberle is said to be possibly ready tomorrow). Long trip down there, 2-3 am arrival at the hotel, 2nd game in 24 hours, why take the risk? He should also guarantee RC a nice little 5 figure bonus if he starts Mayer.
I agree with everything you said.. Like I said in the GDT falling out of the top 5 by winning meaningless games now would be like rubbing salt into the wound after this pathetic season.

I never thought I'd be so ticked off because the Habs won a game.. If they win tomorrow I might just lose it altogether.. This season can't end quick enough right now.

Even if we win tomorrow, we clinch a top 4 lottery slot IF:

Ducks get a point @ Edmonton.
Leafs get a point vs Lightning.
Wild get a point vs Hawks.

If we win in a shootout, those 3 teams each get a point and the Islanders win in regulation or OT, we clinch a top 3 lottery slot.

The 'tanking' in the title of every single PST gets old very fast. Not even funny anymore.

Even the great Budaj was no match for the unfathomable powers of the Pacioretty - Cole anti-tank offensive.

If we could have a second line with 3 x 20+ goals scorers, that would be great....

Plekanec, Bourque and Gionta have done it in a recent past, did not they ?

I posted this prior the game:

Quote:
Pacioretty 2 goals
Markov 1 goal
Desharnais 2 assists
Cole 3 assists
I have the numbers right had I written points instead of goals..

A couple of things in the Canes favor for tomorrows game is it's the 2nd of a back to back with the Habs traveling (even though they didn't have to work very hard tonight).. Plus it's the Canes final home game this season so Muller will hopefully have his team ready to play especially against his old team..

Maybe we can find one who had 28 and 29 goals the previous two seasons but was injured this year.

Patches breaks the drought, DD breaks 60 points, Cole is still awesome.

Honorable mention to Plek. 52 pts while getting used as a pure checking line center (Could already be at 60 if he was shooting anywhere near his career average). How many checking line center even reach 30 points? And those guys don't play close to the opposition Plek gets. Some of them may also have better linemates too wich is just sad.

That team needs some wingers. Also needs to drop one of Blunden or Geoffrion on the fourth and put Palushaj there. Both he and Eller clearly need some linemates so might as well play them together.

That is easily the least I've ever enjoyed an easy Habs win. Tomorrow is a must lose game. We'll be playing a good goalie in Ward and hopefully respond with Mayer.

Who wins the tiebreaker if both the Habs and NYI finish tied in points?

All I can say is that you've obviously lost your grasp on hockey. You mean to say you want them to tell the team to purposely lose? Pay the head coach 10,000+$ just to play the worse goalie? Some Habs fans have simply lost it.

I believe in Gio (and can't believe it when I hear people whining about him considering the fact that the team began to struggle in possession when he got injured) and (as everyone know) in Plek. But Bourque can't play the same tough minutes those two plays, he should be used on an offensive third line and I almost wonder if a guy like Gallagher couldn't end up being better than him in sheltered minutes next year.
