Bobkov will be our future number 1 goalie someday. Huge size truly helps. He looked confident in that shootout against IceCaps
I would bring up Jaques for 4th line next season. Perfect fit.
Maroon McMillan,Caputi, Clark and Holland; There`s a lot of potential in the Crunch and players that we can give a change maybe next season to play in the Ducks.
Maroon is 31G 40A 71P (3rd in the AHL) in 68 games with 111PIM.
Here's hoping he's improved his skating and fitness enough to add some 3rd/4th line grit next year. Congrats to him for turning his career around regardless.

I was just thinking about the dead weight we had traded away at the deadline, and it occurred to me I had no idea how the dead weight in return was doing.
It sounds like Holzapfel, O'Marra, and even Caputi are working out OK, but the 2 no names don't seem to be playing. So Crunch fans, what's up with Mitchell and Erixon?
Erixon is hurt, last we heard. No obvious news on Mitchell.
Erixon was damaged goods sent over in the Gordon trade. Looks like we will see who gets the better of this trade in 2012-2013 +
Mitchell was a good junior player that has had trouble adjusting to the pro game.
Caputi, Holzapfel have played great. O'Marra has been ok and brings some energy but irresposible plays at times. He tends to make blind passes in his own zone. Some find his teammates tape and some haven't. For a checking forward your play out of your own end should be the biggest concern. It hasn't been anything to really bite us in the ass but just a few plays here and there.
I know Erixon has been hurt and I think Dale Mitchell has only played a couple games and has been scratched or injured so I can't really tell you about these guys.
Anyway our boys picked up 2 more pts. and it's looking more and more like playoff hockey will be played in Syracuse.I'm real sad to see these guys go next year. They are playing hard and winning which they deserve.I'll always keep an eye on the stats to see what these guys are doing when they are well into their NHL careers.
I'm not sure if it has been said, but I'd like to thank you Crunch fans for answering our questions and updating us on the progress of our guys down there. Good luck down the stretch and in future seasons.
The Caps did the Crunch a favor last night beating ninth place Portland 5-2. The pirates could have moved to within a point of the Crunch and the Monarchs with a win, but they mailed it last night which was a bit of a surprise to me. It looks like the Caps have a good chance of drawing either the Crunch or the Monarchs in round one.
I have a funny story that I will make SFW.
I was listening to a Caps game against Syracuse about a month ago. The St. John's announcer said, "The Crunch have broken out of their own end!" I could have sworn that instead of Crunch he said a work that ladies really do not like......
Goodd luck to Syracuse and Holzapel who I wish we had not traded.
Palmieri has been awfully quiet since being sent down. Has he scored a goal since?
I'm not sure if he has scored a goal, but in tonight's game I only took note of two plays both in the first period where I noticed KP. The first play led to the first Crunch goal where he had the puck just above the right dot and instead of putting the puck at the net made a nice little pass down low where the puck bounced around and was put in for a score . I know he is a shooter and the pass was a bit unexpected.
The other play was not so good as the Crunch gained entry in the zone he had the puck at the right point and had alot of space but did not move did not put the puck deep. I really don't know what he was thinking and I yelled move yor feet. He had time to make some sort of play but he was closed in on and lost the puck. As far as the rest of the game I didn't notice him on the ice.
I think this team has really found their stride and are peaking at the right time.
They are skating well, making solid tape to tape passes, finishing checks, getting good goaltending. I know Kyle is dissapointed that he isn't in Anaheim but in a week he would be here anyway.
