Do you guys think Budaj is going to start the rest of the season? I'm asking for fantasy reasons since I had Price. Thanks!

RC is playing the DD line like he's still in a playoff race so I guess it's out of the question he starts Mayer in this game huh? Getting 2 points out of this game and it's huh oh..

Oh, I know that. I was just wondering if you guys have a 3rd goalie option that may get the starts over Budaj.

Mayer, but Cunneyworth probably won't start him because he lives in this fantasy land where we are in a playoffs race.

I'd hate to know what you'd do if they win tomorrow and Saturday and draft out of the top 5..

I just want to see the Habs play their hardest, and play with heart! I don't want to see this great team ever give up.

Please start Mayer..

Winning would be a disaster unless the Isles manage to get a point or two in the next two games. We can't count on other teams to win, we must design our own demise.

I dont think the players on the ice really give up. Most of them have something to play for, even if they aren't big on pride.

The tanking thing is more of the fan's desire, but its tough to go out there as a player and not try to compete.

I'm more like you. I just want to see the team compete, and let the chips fall where they may. Having said that, this is the first time that I have seen the habs in the thick of the lottery race, and I never want to experience it again. The mixed emotions in winning and losing in these situations just drives me crazy.

You pretty much nailed it. I hate cheering for a team that I've supported for 25 years to lose games, it's bloody painful. I haven't even been able to make myself watch games regularly since January (I live in Scotland, so doing so involves sleep deprivation). I have so much respect for Oilers and Islanders fans now, especially younger ones who don't remember their glory years.

That said, it's all about the big picture. If this absolute arse of a season doesn't end with the Habs getting a top 5 pick, this becomes a whole order of magnitude worse. I've never wanted them to lose a game so badly as I do tonight, because I think that there's no way that they're going lose to that abortion of a Maple Leafs team on Saturday.
