9. Whenever we make the playoffs, we go far! So no more early round exits.

From what I read they got along well and Parise wasn't a happy camper when they let him go.

Just imagine when he first sees Skinner getting away with slashes.

We're not getting Parise.

We might get two or three bottom 6'ers that add up to the production of Parise, but that's as close as we're going to get unfortunately. As far as JR is concerned, he's probably convinced we have our own Parise in LaRose, especially after this season.

Time on ice. It was 583 for Stewart to 457 for Bowman. And of course, there is watching Bowman play, and seeing that he contributes nothing offensively in terms of his skill set. He's still young, so maybe something will change in the future. As of now, he's a less skilled Patrick Dwyer.

Oh ok, the old watch them play excuse. I have watched Bowman play, he's better offensively than Dwyer and Stewart.

I don't think that's even possible.

That is one 'excuse'. Stewart also has scored more, and is scoring at a higher rate (by toi) than bowman. He's also had a 39 point season.

But to back up the 'watch them play' argument. Head over to NHL.com and watch all the goals scored by Bowman. Then watch the goals by Stewart.

In the end though, I get it. Bowman had a string of recent mild statistical success.

But Bowman's offensive game is garbage. Players who settle for that wide angle 'scotty walker' slapper into the goalie on the rush are doing so, because that's the best they can come up with.

I don't know what's wrong with Stewart that he doesn't get to play more. I assume it's his defense, and probably the conditioning issues come into play? I have no inside sources so I just guess. But his passing, tip ability, front of the net presence, board game, stick handling, strength, and instincts are all better than Bowman. I'd say Bowman's mediocre speed is better than Stewarts slow speed.

And of course, Bowman is a very solid defensive forward which is why he's allowed to play in the NHL.

I may have gotten carried away with Dwyer being more skilled. He does have breakaway speed at least. But he's a whole different level of terrible I concede at everything else.

You know there's not much to talk about when we are arguing about the offensive prowess of Dwyer, Stewart and Bowman.
