That article is wrong, sort of. It was written before Christmas when Dion was released by the PEI Rocket and had decided to join us for the 2nd half before ultimately deciding to finish up his junior career with the Jr. AAA Princeville in Quebec.
He should be with us next year though. As should goaltender Adrien Lemay who's been red-shirting this year playing senior and the odd practice with us.
Two other OJHL players have made committments - Tyler Mort who formerly played with Kingston and Barrie (OHL) before playing his overage year with Newmarket (OJHL) to York and Matt Sollows (Vaughan Vipers OJHL) to Wilfrid Laurier.

Windsor adds another local Jr. B product to in Matthew Beaudoin, captain of the Lasalle Vipers. They added two players last year from Lasalle in DJ Turner and Drew Palmer who had very productive seasons.
Windsor adds Myles McCauley, currentlly playing with Salmon Arm (BCHL). His junior career was very much up and down, scoring 41 points with Plymouth/Sault Ste. Marie as an 18 year old in the OHL, before registering only 2 OHL points since and being cut from Omaha (USHL) as a 20 year old. I've only seen video of him, if he could regain his 18 year old season form he could be a solid OUA player, he has a very fast release. I was expecting him to play CIS hockey (either beginning this past season or this season).
Sutherland is another fine addition to a very strong Bison defensive corps. With Schappert, Crowley, Schmidt, Bobbee and perhaps Rumsey coming back, this is going to be a very good d-group again in 2012-13.
It seems lakehead will be adding Carson Dubchak to the line up next season. If he is half as good as the last kenora product to play for the thunderwolves, he will be a great addition. Any info on this guy other than generic stats? looks like he is a decent OHL player just under 6'
Hockeyscene.com had a thing up that Sebastien Trudeau of Acadie-Bathurst will be at UdeM next season.
For those that have never seen the Jean-Louis Levesque Arena...or as we call it the J-Lewey .......... one of the better vids of where les Aigles play.
From my experience, Clarke is truly one of the great ambassadors for CIS hockey...eloquent of what the level is all about and obviously successful with his group considering the number of times western has advance to the university cup....this year, of course, they qualified for the national final....Fredericton hockey fans know Pat Powers well, of course, as a robust defenceman with the St. Thomas Tommies......if he's able to channel the intensity he brought on the ice to his coaching, the western program is in good shape..
Except for the fact that he picked the mediocre Anthony Grieco over the incredibly talented and former NHL drafted Ryan Daniels for Team Canada at the Winter Universiade a couple years ago simply because Grieco was Westerns goalie...he also picked something like 8 Western Mustangs for that team leaving other, better players back.
D Brendan Barletta - UOIT (Aurora OJHL - played with Oshawa OHL)
F Taylor Clements - Queens (St. Michael's OJHL - has played 14 games between OHL/QMJHL)
D Joseph Luongo - Queens (St. Michael's OJHL)
F Jordan Ramsay - UOIT (Toronto OJHL - has played 26 games with Sudbury OHL)
Laurier adds forward Ryan Lopes from Georgetown (OJHL).
Lopes registered 52 points in 42 games with Georgetown after a bit of a slow start, as he was below a point a game for much of the first half. Prior to playing with Georgetown, Lopes played 170 games in the OHL between his 17 year old and 19 year old years, 2 full years with St. Michael's where he totaled 15 and 19 points, and one split between St. Michael's, Sudbury and Kitchener where he totaled 6. It is nice to see him score (second on Georgetown in points) after being primarily a role player in the OHL, better known for his defensive play and and great speed on the penalty kill. I am interested to see where he will play on the Laurier depth chart. I could see him being relied on as the 4th line center with much penalty killing responsibility, but if he shows some offense or plays the wing, he could move up as well. He is a guy I penciled in as being a CIS player, glad to see it will be with Laurier in the fall.
