Poor Miller being stuck with Emmerton and Homer.
Miller looks lonely without Helm. It just seems like that line can't generate a dang thing because they lack chemistry and communication. He has to be frustrated.

Well it looks like Nyquist can't play in the top6 against teams like st.louis, the datsyuk line got much better after Bertuzzi replaced Nyquist.

Don't jump to conclusions. Datsyuk taking over a game for 10 minutes has much less to do with Todd Bertuzzi standing in front of the net than it does with Datsyuk being a ridiculous talent.

Nyquist looked alright. Made that one really good play with Dats.

STL is a strong, fast, physical team. Nyquist needs to strengthen up and get experience playing at the pro level. But I think I wouldn't mind him getting that experience on the NHL squad.

Datsyuk + Bertuzzi are money. Nyquist was just a casualty in Babcock's line shuffle.

Nyquist is going to be really good, you can see the skills. Babcock really likes him as well, the fact the Wings were struggling against a top team isn't a slight against Nyquist, you just go back to what you know works. He'll be a fixture in the top 6 for a long time.

Yeah the Bert-Pav-Mule line has its moments so I have no problem re-uniting them from time to time. Maybe Gus can get it going with Helm on the 3rd line.

The good thing for him is that the only team who plays like St. Louis, is St. Louis.

There are other physical, solidly defensive teams out there.

In general, yes. But no one else currently plays and executes a system like the Blues IMO. The Rangers are a physical and defensive team, and Nyquist played a very good game against them playing in the top 6.

Very true.
I also wonder if Babcock went with the veteran as it was the 3rd period. Nyquick was fine, we gave up a SH goal.

I think Babcock has to find a stop for Nyquist and Conner.

Honestly, Nyquist looked fine and has some decent chemistry with Datsyuk. Sometimes a line just needs another look to start clicking again.
