Thanks for the avatar Nem. I can't believe the lack of people going with Bautista. Way too many hipsters in here

Psh. Bautista is sooooo mainstream. Joel Carreno is where it's at. Carreno is such a cool choice that I can't even use it because I'm not nearly cool enough for that.

I don't know how many people know what Beat the Streak is but it's starting up tomorrow. Basically what you have to do is guess which players will hit each day. It starts up tomorrow. It's a less maintence fantasy game.

Pretty simple, but the highest anyone got last year was around a 40 hit streak with the prize money goal being 57 hits or more which is Dimaggio's hit streak.

http://mlb.mlb.com/mlb/fantasy/bts/

BTW thanks for the avatars Nemesis, The Alvarez one looks particularly appealing to me I'm gonna take it.

EDIT: Considering my username Thames is more appealing.

He's not with the big club (yet), but I will never, ever, ever get tired of this.

Skip to about 2 and a half minutes in, that's where the fun begins (before that you just miss a foul ball, a couple of pickoff attempts and a whole lot of dancing back and forth)

That's unreal. He was down on the ground before the pitch even got there. I watched the whole thing anyway just to see what his tendencies are.

Slightly OT: good job on the OSFM BJs roster theaub. One concern, why'd you make Gose's fielding average? He has a cannon!

Thanks!

If you go to the correction thread, I asked that myself haha

I submitted him as a worse hitter but with far better fielding/arm ratings. I think a guy did the faces for the top prospects (D'Arnaud/Gose etc) and did his own ratings and the ones all the team guys submitted weren't put in. It should be corrected when the opening day set comes out.

I have to admit I haven't been an avid follower of the Jays but this is the year that I think will change a lot of borderline fans.... it doesn't hurt that they have returned the BLUE to the BLUE JAYS.

So pumped.

Productivity at work will drop significantly at 3pm.

Not only are the Jays getting going today, so too are the kids in the minors

Vegas @ 7 PT - Laffey on the mound (but who cares about their pitchers, AAA is about the bats!)
NH @ 7 ET - Huch starting
Dunedin @ 7 ET - Stilson (surprised he's the first starter. Anxious to see if he's on a pitch count coming off injury)

Anyone know if the Jays want to use Sam Dyson as a starter or Reliever?

Im just trying to think of the Dunedin rotation. Stilson, Wojo, Lawrence, Nolin and Smith/Dyson

I am guessing he is a starter based on this.
