I had to DVR the game and didn't start watching until midnight. I was on the edge of my seat for the last 10 mins + OT. As soon as it went to SO, I thought we were done. Backstrom played well and MIN has some sick SO shooters in Koivu, Setoguchi, Christensen, Heatley, etc.

Not the greatest game ever, but I'll take the 2 big pts. Congrats Anders on first SO win in first SO ever.

I thought his shootout move he waited too long. He made the deke, got backstrom to move a bit and then mad another move. once he did that he was out or room and just fired a weak shot

Erat actually had backstrom down and if he could have hit the nearside corner it was open he just didnt make a very good shot...

Yeah...that's what I thought. He was waiting for Backstrom to show him something with the delay....and Backstrom never did.

If he's gonna wait on the shot that long, he needs a bit better of a fake. Otherwise, keep it simple and just snap it in -- no deking or delays. I hate to see goalie stops on lost pucks and weak shots.
