Mueller - Duchene - Hejduk
Landeskog - O'Reilly - Olver
Jones - Stastny - Downie
Galiardi - McClement - Winnik

Johnson - Wilson
Elliott - O'Brien
Hejda - O'Byrne

Varlamov
Giguere

What this shows:- we need one more blue chip, clutch forward. We have too many sparte grinders like Porter, Mcleod, VDG, Kobasew & co. Our defence needs one more marquee player.

Next year Siemens, Hishon & Barrie might make the jump, but this year, we need to focus on the play-offs.

What kind of bet would you be ready to accept for this? I say Siemens-Hishon-Barrie trio will not play a single game together in Avs in 2012-13.

I'd like to see Duchene move back to center once Mueller comes back, and Dutchy gets another game or two under his belt, and his legs and conditioning back.

Gali - Stastny - Jones
Mueller - Duchene - Downie
Landeskog - O'Reilly - Hejduk
Winnik - McLement - Kobasew

Assuming Jones is traded:

Galiardi-Stastny-Hejduk
Landeskog-O'Reilly-Downie
Olver-Duchene-Mueller
Winnik-McClement-Kobasew

Wilson-Johnson
Hejda-O'Byrne
O'Brien-Elliott

You're forgetting Gagliardi, Oliver, Duchesne and Stasny

I know Downie is supposed to play on that line tonight, but when Mueller returns I think Downie needs to be playing with either Duchene or Stastny. He has prior chemistry with Duchene, and I think he could have some great chemistry with Stastny. The Lando-RoR-Down line looks great as a grittie, dirty, nasty team to play against but I just think you need a sniper with them. I think we need to tweak lines, which I'm sure Sacco will do any way. I just hope he gets Duchene back at Center

Mueller-Duchene-Downie
Landeskog-O'Reilly-Olver
Galiardi-Stastny-Hejduk
Winnik-McClement-Kobasew

If we do trade Jones. If we don't then

Mueller-Duchene-Downie
Landeskog-O'Reilly-Olver
Jones-Stastny-Hejduk
Galiardi-McClement-Winnik

Trade McCleod please Sherman. There has got to be a team that needs him

I think this is a mute point until after Monday, but if we have to use the current roster, then I agree with you.

Jones/Stastny/Hejduk
Downie/Duchene/Olver
Landeskog/O'Reilly/Mueller
Galiardi/McClemment/Winnik

This is what I want to see next year for D pairing assuming we don't get Suter.

Hejda - EJ (Now that both EJ and Hejda have settled in, I want them to have another crack at it together)

Gaunce - ROB (I really want Gaunce on the team. Still a very good shutdown line and Gaunce has a bit more offense then Hejda)

Wilson - Barrie (Physical and good offense)

Hunwick/SOB (I think Hunwick is a perfect 7th dman but I doubt he wants to stay with us in that role)

Honestly, I'd rather dump Wilson and keep SOB.

I assume if Gaunce is going to be with the big club they will look into moving O'Byrne or Wilson. I really haven't seen enough of Gaunce to really make a determination on his speed, but to me adding Gaunce to a blueline that already sports Wilson and O'Byrne makes for a really slow defense, does it not? Surely that has to factor in somehow.

From watching him when he was with the team last year, I don't think Gaunce's skating is an issue and hopefully he has worked on it as well. I certainly don't think he is slower than SOB.

The way I look at it, we still need ROB for our PK. He has done very well there and he is doing pretty good 5-on-5 as well so I'd like to keep him.

I'd like to keep Wilson over SOB because of his big bodychecks that can be game changers sometimes. I think his O-game is also better than SOB and less prone to turnovers.

I'm also taking into consideration the side they play on which seems to be important to Sacco. I'd like to keep SOB as a 7th dman though if he wants to stay here as I think he is a very good fill-in.

Seems like majority here don't think Stephan Elliot will make the starting 6Dmen next year. How come?

I think we had a pretty good record with him in the lineup. He was just to easy to push off the puck.

Defensemen need more time to develop than forwards. It's very, very, VERY rare when a blueliner can enter the league right away and dominate. Elliott has proven he has big-league potential, but he has a long way to go yet. A full year in the AHL would do both him and Barrie wonders.

Not strong enough in our own end.
