Consecutive Saves by a Goaltender?

Anyone know if those records are available anywhere? Did some Googling around without success trying to find it.

Was curious where Mike Smith's active streak of 155 saves ranks in history and what some of the other notable consecutive save tallies are.

edit: Boucher's modern 5+ game shutout record was a streak of 146 consecutive saves.

Analyze the top shutout streaks and you will get your answer.

It would almost have to be one of the guys during the late 20s before the forward pass was allowed in the offensive zone, when save percentages of over .960 were the norm.

Modern era? Yeah, look for shutout streaks

Agreed, I'm just hoping someone out there has done that already, or has the data to do it with some simple SQL queries or spreadsheets.

The last time a goalie had 3 consecutive shut outs was Quick.. earlier this season.

Steve Mason did the same for Columbus back in 2008.

record for saves in back to back shutouts is 93 by Craig Anderson.

When Boucher had 5 straight shut outs he made 146 straight saves and went 332 minutes without being scored upon.

Alec O'Connell went 461 minutes in 1927-28 without giving up a goal. He likely has the all time record but I'll bet the modern record for consecutive saves is held by Smith.

Bryzgalov, just last month. Nowhere near Smith's saves though.

I thought this thread was going to be about consecutive saves in a single play. There won't be a recorded record for this, but there must be some good footage around of a goalie making 3, 4, 5 etc. saves in rapid succession.

Think it was Quick just this season, but I'm not 100% on that.
