Possible player/coach for next season? Word on the street is Cox will get the sack as Bees coach.
Other rumours are Moria to retire, with Doug Shepperd taking over at the Bison, a player who I can't name said he is 90% sure that's happening.
Would be nice, taking Danny Meyers with him, bout time he comes back home
A more realistic rumour - the Moria one. Last year of Moria's 3 year deal. Tbh if I were PI I wouldnt renew. I just dont think he was ever that great a coach, all those years of Zorans big money and he won what, two cups, nothing at Bison.
Wouldnt surprise me if Sheppard, not only becuase of the Bison link but no doubt he's had enough of Zoran's way or the highway style of management.

Ugh, you don't want to get me started on Mr Kozic
A video that was posted on THF from 1988 with a young tony hand in action, my god the goalies were awful

The 18's lost 3-2 against Romania today who now look like favourites for promotion. Sounded like a great game with the shots 50-40 in favour of Romania and lots of powerplay chances for both teams.
I massively underestimated the strength of this group, while it is harder for us to gain promotion the new system certainly benefits the players because they get to play against better opposition in more competitive games.
I think I warned earlier in this thread a few months ago that Britain were becoming more comparable to Romania, Holland and Spain than to other countries we traditionally compare ourselves to. I dont think it's a case of being terrible, it's just that other nations are successfully making progress while GB stands still.

It probably doesn't help that our U18's get hardly any time together and don't play any games prior to the tournament, whereas the other teams we are competing against do.
The senior team seem to actually be making progress, only just missing out on promotion to the Elite pool last year, with hardly any dual-nationals in the team. We will have to wait and see how they do this year with the new format.
Andre Pie-ate signs a 2 year extension to his coaching deal. Pretty good for Steeldog fans, I think he's got a very good coaching career ahead of him, and I wouldnt be surprised to see him get an offer back home or in Europe after the two years, or maybe even before.

He's done a great job in Sheffield, especially with all the young local players he brought in. Ozolins was the best import in the league this year IMO, a very good signing.
Also the U18's beat Croatia 6-0 today, a good result. The line of Venus, Cownie and Chamberlain seems to be clicking, all have 4+4 each so far in the tournament.
I liked what I saw of that line against Holland. They scored simply by doing the basics properly. I hadnt seen Clements before but he was a solid captain. It's not a very high standard group. It's good though that the games are competitive and they're getting experience. Although it concerns me that Britain were basically rolling two lines with not much ice-time for the rest. I would rather see as many U18's as possible getting experience at this level because the talent pool is only going to get narrower at higher/older levels.
