Interestingly, Gary Bettman addressed the "clockgate" controversy and stated that there was no malfunction but was a little vague as to whether it was correct, or whatever. He sort of said that there was no mistake but then at the same time said that they've implemented policies in the war room to make them look back further at the clock which sort of implies that if that procedure had been place then the war room would have disallowed the goal which therefore implies that there was an error.
