Since Brunet and then Denis after that took over , i find myself hoping that Mr Pedneault would come back. Sure he was making non related jokes with Pierre once in a while and made some comments that did not please everyone (well every commentators do at some point) but he also had much better chemistry with Pierre and much more fluid than both Brunet and Denis.
In a perfect world Dube and McGuire would come to RDS but aside from those two i sincerely think Houde - Pedneault is one of the best duo out there.
Now that Marc Denis replaced Pednault I don't miss Yvon at all.
Listened to the Sens-Isles game on TVA last sunday and he was awful. He couldn't focus on the game because he was busy chitchatting and giving anecdotes that had nothing to do with the action.
For the record i have nothing against Denis. I do think he is doing OK but he also sound a bit robotic at times.
He will most likely get better and more confident at some point though. I mean even Brunet made great progress when it comes to fluidly speaking in front of a camera. It's something that can be learned , assuming you're not some extreme introvert or something.
That said i still miss the Houde - Pedneault duo. The chemistry they had developed throughout the years was hard to top.
Crazy to see that only one of these guys is still with us (Plekanec).
I don't miss Pedneault at all but I would take back all the players on that roster any day (except for Kovalev who is too old, Samsonov, Bonk and Johnson).

Pedneault was the worst color man I have ever heard. Never...never did he explain something that was MIT obvious. I will not even go into how many times he was simply wrong.
I think the OP has Stockholm Syndrome, that is the nicest thing I can say.
