Just hold tight and all the call ups will be back after Saturday. It's ridiculous how many injuries the Caps have had this season though, seemingly all on defence too.

Judging by the point totals (almost 2PPG and GPG) O'Brien seems like an all offense, no defence kind of guy.

Is CBC going to show any IceCaps playoff games? I know they've shown AHL games in the past.

I don't think they showed any playoff AHL games, they'll likely be too busy with NHL playoffs.

Yeah, if I recall correctly they showed a few regular season games. It was awesome that a few of those were Moose games.

They just mentioned on 1290 that Postma was named to the AHL's first allstar team his point totals are 13 goals 31 assists 44 points in 55 games...... Impressive

Well you see it's a common name. Why would you ask such a silly question?

Very strong skater, quick release, good leader, seems to be a great kid but he's tiny - 5' 08". I'd like to see him prove me wrong, but he's unlikely to see any time in the NHL.

Every game between these two teams has been fantastic this year. It will be interesting to see how Scheifele and Telegin play against Ottawa. They are a stacked team up front so it's going to be tough sledding. Unfortunately the Colts have several key injuries (Hall, Pearson, Sutch up front and O'Conner on defence) at the moment, so the 67s will be able to key right in on the Behenna / Scheifele / Telegin. It will be interesting to see if Hawerchuk splits them up to try to balance the scoring...

I don't think there are any other mods on right now, but I was thinking of starting a GDT for the Colts/67's game today. I think it'd be fun since it's on TV.

Sounds like a great idea! The other mods can ban/infract me instead of you, cuz I'm egging you on.

EDIT: could always just do a GDT type post in here too...
EDIT2: ...although that might get this thread to 1000 posts too quickly...

I would like it just because we have 2 very high profile picks playing. Any other notables we should keep an eye on that are top prospects for team or potential high draft picks in this or a future draft?

Ekblad is going to be amazing - just turned 16, 6' 2" 207lbs, and is already very solid on D. Granted exceptional status in order to play in the O this year. So young that he's not eligible for the NHL draft until 2014.

Barrie Colts

I was just checking to see how the boys are doing down in Barrie.

Looking good out there. Colts just made the 2nd round.

Ivan Telegin
Playoffs: 4 goals 2 assists 6 points in 6 games
Season: 35 goals 29 assists 64 points in 46 games +19 (4 shg)(12 ppg)

Mark Scheifele
Playoffs: 1 goal 4 assists 5 points in 6 games
Season: 23 goals 40 assists 63 points in 47 games +21 (3 shg)(5 ppg)

liking this

apparently Scheifele took a pretty bad hit from behind the other night. doin ok though.

I have never seen one. Rogers cable broadcasts every second game locally, you would think that Rogers in Winnipeg could broadcast the games??
