Pouliot was doing much here, he is also on a better hockey team right now and a deeper one as well. The problem was trading Latendresse for Pouliot in the 1st place. OInce again our GM and his friend made another horrible decision
DD is a stud and he has 16 goals. Pouliot has 16 goals and he is a flop.
Leblanc has 5 goals in 40 games.....stud. Bourque, 5 in 36, Palushaj 1 in 36.
But yeah, Pouliot is the suck.
How are some of you going to react IF we get competent management and coaching since some of you have embraced ineptitude so DEEPLY?
I really can't tell if you are serious anymore.

Isn't that what we're looking for among other things ?
The difference between Pou-Pou and comparable but better players like Kostitsyn and Bourque is that when the latter are off their game, they are invisible. Pouliot becomes a liability.
Who have Rene Bourque who doesn't hit anyone and who is signed 5x longer
Pouliot has 95 hits in 75 games.
Rene Bourque has 86 hits in 74 games.
In comparison, AK has 111 hits in 70 games.
Seriously, of all the things to complain about, not having Pouliot? I'm much more pissed off that they traded Kostitsyn, a far better player than either of these guys, than losing a guy who is a liability half the time he's out there.

Why compare any of those players. Gauthier got rid of Pouliot and Kostitsyn and we are stuck with Bourque for a while.
That's my entire point. Gauthier has ****ed this team up for a while.
Desharnais is also a big part of why Cole has a career-high in goals this season, as does Pacioretty, a guy that came into the season after recovering from a broken neck.
When Pouliot can do that to his linemates, we'll talk. For now, yes Pouliot can score his 30 points elsewhere and stay away from the Habs. Not tendering a contract to him was the right move, 11 times out of 10.

Pouliot is a + 19 this year.
Last year, when he was a "liability" for the Canadiens, he was a + 2.
The Pouliot as a liability meme lives on in Montreal while the Bruins fans embrace his play (by a 70% to 30% margin, the Neanderthal HF Bruins board voted that Pouliot should be re-signed--but what do they know.......)
