Really? Who the **** do you think got them even close to a sniff of the playoffs the last two months?
It certainly wasn't our "talented core"...

Just like he did nothing last off-season when they did make the playoffs... and the trade deadline.

Completely agree. He won't do a damned thing. Nothing.

Ryan miller blown leads in 3rd period of playoff scenarios
2 vs Boston '10 playoffs
1 series clincher vs Philly '11 playoffs
1 end of season playoof hope vs Philly

The guy hasn't been clutch in the NHL in half a decade.

C'mon, he was very active last offseason (Regehr, Leino, Ehrhoff) and at the deadline. It's one thing if you don't like those moves, but you can't say he hasn't been active.

This season was probably the least fun I've had watching the Sabres. At least I expected it with other lousy teams. The total lack of compete was just infuriating. So many hair-pulling games.

I don't want to hear it. You CANNOT **** around until the All-Star break and then just decide to turn on the jets. You have to play a full 60 minutes for 82 games.

Until this team learns that, they're not going anywhere.
No team, NO TEAM does this.

The injuries this year sucked, for sure. I think Regier (with good intentions) messed with the chemistry/balance of the team a bit too much this year. Team wouldn't have gotten far in the playoffs anyway.
I wasn't saying they would tank. I said they would deal established vets and give their kids force-feed minutes to intensify their seasoning to bring them along further for next season. Typically, that will hurt results.

Ennis made a nearly identical dumb odd man break play... I thought he was all afinogenov tonight... Lots of flash and blown opportunities

I'm not even disappointed at all.

I've been prepared for this moment since Game 15 this year.

Saw it very early.

What does that matter? He ran his mouth to the media during those 2 months also. He ran his mouth all season. He ran his mouth as a rookie losing to the Detroit Red Wings saying that the team doesn't care about him yet and didn't show up. When is he going to shut the **** up and just play?

Out with a whimper.

U: Regehr doing his best pylon impression. He was never fast to begin with, but he seems to be losing half a step per month. 4.2 M is a lot of cap space to be using up next year. Add that to Leopold (Mr. 5-6 d-man) and you're talking Suter money.

Oh well at least there was some eye candy behind Ruff.
This is what bothered me most. I can understand struggling w/o your top D, but waving your stick at the opponent as your season ticks away? Flyers run 2.5 shifts of possesion through the Sabres D zone in the final 3 minutes and nary a forward puts a body on anyone.

Add to the ugly.

The game against the Bruins may be the last Sabres game we see for quite some time. I don't see the CBA getting sorted out quickly.

Can't really blame the D when we only score 1 goal.

OTOH, I think we played a more D-oriented style all around to try to cover for our missing blue liners, which lead to less offense.

I'm not even going to comment any more on this game. Just gonna say that I'm excited for the draft and next season.

In the meantime, Go Kings! (just not the same for me though)

Lots of blame to go around, don't think second half of the season Miller deserves much of it.

I just want the coaching staff to go. Get rid of Ruff. Get a fresh face in there.

Who gives a rat's ass what he does with the media? Games are played on the ice, not in a ****ing rag like the News
