Tell me where Rupp aims his knee at Staal's like Orpik BLATANTLY did?
It's just as reckless. A player has already completed his turn way before contact, and Rupp still tries to throw the hit knowing it could end badly.

You honestly don't see Staal's back is completely to Rupp when contact is made?

It was me who kept complaining. I get infractions for every little thing here, and they always let that **** slide.

You seem to be ignoring...:

Then came the medial collateral knee ligament injury Jan. 6 in a leg-tangling collision with former Penguins winger Mike Rupp of the New York Rangers.

"There's no bad blood," Staal said of Rupp, adding that he "is a great guy. I really respect him as a player."

Staal himself said after the hit that there's no bad blood after that hit and that Rupp's a great guy. Rupp was a penguin. Why would he go after an ex-teammate?

He throws a check on a player who was facing sideways to him less than a second before, tries to slow down, and catches his leg.

Meanwhile, Orpik nails Stepan face on and deliberately angles his knee to hit his.

Completely different. You're wrong. And if you do think this hit is dirty, it's ridiculous you're justifying one dirty hit with another, or else you couldn't complain about Callahan coming in and slewfooting Crysby, or McDonagh knocking Cooke's teeth out with his elbow.

Torts just oozes intensity. I've said it before, but it's just so appropriate, the guy has such a presence with the way he speaks. Hell, it's getting me pumped up as a fan, imagine what it feels like for our guys in the lockerroom. If we face them in the playoffs, we'll be ready.

Thanks for making another point.

Nobody did any whining then, as nobody did any whining tonight when you guys had 5 PP's to our 1.

We'll prolly get the presidents trophy even if we lose, Van has to win their last one and St louis has to get 3 points. Not that it matters much, whens the last time both first seeds faced each other?

It would be stupid to whine, because Rupp wouldn't intentionally injure his ex-teammate. Anyone who argues would look like an idiot there.

Nobody did any whining there because Rupp wasn't going for the knee. It was an unfortunate incident that they collided. Meanwhile, Orpik faces Stepan straight in the face, and instead of nailing him with a body check, gets his knee instead.

Oh but wait! The penguins never do anything wrong! It's just a coincidence that Grossman, Boychuk, and now Stepan have all gone down after a knee on knee collision.

And don't go defending those either. I was lurking around on the MTL board, and even they agreed that Boychuk was blatantly kneed.

You are as two faced as you can get, and are great example of how hating pens fans can even bring true rivals like ny and philly together.

On the pens board you say
Stepan was a hockey player, until he took a Brooks Orpik to the knee...
If I made a Crosby concussion joke I would be banned.

You sir, are correct. And kudos to your assistant coach for saying Cindy and Malkin are the dirtiest players on their team. It's true. They do those subtle things that the refs don't seem to notice. But the obvious cheap stuff is left to Cooke, Orpik, and the rest.

Win Saturday and take the Presidents Trophy. I never thought that the words "Let's Go Flyers" would ever come out of my mouth. But as of today, Pittsburgh has taken over as public enemy #1 for me. If the Flyers don't beat them, I hope they soften them up so Boston can feed on their carcass. Not enough bad stuff can happen to them now.

I think you could add Letang to that list as well seeing as he also gets away with spears and what not

Lousy game, for us, I feel like guys were trying to stay out of traffic avoiding injury & the Pens were just gunning for them. Bad things tend to happen in situations like that.

As far as Torts Presser comments; he is just saying what every one else in & around the leauge feels about the Penquins that aren't Penquin fans.
