We need another number one or two d-man. I don't feel comfortable with Elliot or Barrie yet. Both need more seasoning in Lake Erie. O'Brien should go to the ECHL.
I like our forward corps for next season. Especially if Hishon finds a way to get on. With Stazz, McGinn, Downie, O'Reilly, Landeskog, Mueller and Olver and Duchene you're looking at some decent fire power if they can play to potential. I would try to re-sign McClement and even Jones. Then try to trade away one of McGinn or Downie (and Kobasew, but doubt he has any value) for a defenseman. Porter and McLeod can go.

Losing twice to the worst team in the league and choking in almost ever must win game down the stretch shows that sacco isn't fit to lead this team.

As well as Stastny, Jones and McGinn played you can't break that up. If anything you gotta find a sniper that can play with ROR and Lando.

Trade a defenseman for Downie, then trade Downie for a defenseman...that makes a lot of sense.
The forward core has talent. Bring back Jones, keep McClement, and just hope Duchene can get it together and they should be fine. I focus on the defense this summer.

What I'm saying is that the only reason he will be on the 3rd line is if he isn't playing well and if he isn't playing well, then the Avs won't make the playoffs.

Stastny and O'Reilly's lines will get more defensive minutes and Duchene's line more offensive starts. However, I expect the ice time to be relatively equal(with in a couple minutes). Don't let a line number fool you.
In the end it wouldn't have mattered with Sharks getting a win today. Not that it makes Avs game better.
The Avs didn't know that when they rolled over at home against the worst team in the league in a do-or-die scenario. And that's the only thing that matters.
