I have been reading this board for over a year and its time to join it. I got a Flyers tat on my leg and when they someday when the cup will get that above the flyers logo.
For whatever weird reason I never really followed professional sports while I was an active player. Now I'm old and tired but I love the Flyers. I play some intramural floor hockey at Temple though.
I used to just read the scores in the paper, but I never really cared. I pretty much got myself into watching hockey, since my dad pretty much lost all interest in hockey (he's an Islander fan). I always liked MSG, so when I got interested in hockey, I decided to root for the Rangers.

How did you become a flyers fan all the way out in Washington?
My dad fell in love with the Bullies back in the 70s when he lived in the midwest. When our junior hockey team came here in 1988, when I was 3, I fell in love with hockey. He passed on his love for the Flyers to me and I have been a loyal fan since the first game I ever watched. Sadly for me, over here I'm surrounded by Penguins fans and a few Rangers fans but I still am the loudest at the bar when the game is on.
