Stepan Injury Thread

When anyone gets updates can we post em in here?

Facts:
-He walked off by himself
-I didn't see him go to the dressing room right away (I'm not sure if he eventually did)
-Torts hasn't spoken to Ramsey yet

He limped down the hallway after getting off of the bench at the end of the game.

At least we know we'll definitely finish our checks against them if we play them in the post season...

Not for nothing, he should have dressed tonight. We're not playing for anything, why not sit Mitchell and get him in a game?

I agree. Scott should have played in the Boston game as well.

There is no telling. The best break would be if the knee shot was high enough to be a contusion and no structural damage to his knee. However, just because he limped off does not mean that he might not have ligament damage. We will have to wait to see what the story is with him.

If he is out for an extended period, Anisimov or Dubinsky move to center and Prust moves back with Boyle and Feds.

Its actually pretty dumb for the Pens to piss off Philly, Boston and NY like they did.

They just ticked off three of the most physical teams in the league. If they somehow make it past these three, half the team will be in slings...

I feel like Philly doesn't care about anything right now beyond smacking around the flightless tux birds and laviolette jumping over the bench and beating the bananas outta bylsma

Penguins fans whine when torts calls out their dirty team after losing to them, and call him a sore loser.

Penguins fans whine about Berube calling them out after winning against them.

Will these ****ing idiots shut up already? Penguins have just pissed off the Flyers, Bruins, and Rangers. Considering it's very likely that a trip to the SCF could require going through all of these teams, the penguins should not have done that. Let's see Shanny do anything about this. Although I'm positive that it's not his ultimate decision. Someone from higher up will let the Penguins get away with another cheap shot.

And look at how much has been said about the poster team of the NHL:

Milbury called Cindy a coward, and then was forced to apologize.

Berube said Cindy and Malkin are the dirtiest players on their team.

And now Torts full on bashes the organization's integrity.

And guess what? Those *****es deserve that, and more.

Yep. I legitimately dislike most Penguins fans. The constant "NOT US!" type of attitude sickens me. I hate them and their dirtbag team.

You think its just coincidence that now 2 Atlantic Division teams in the same week had strong things to say about the Pens? I do not

its also very possible that those are the 3 teams they'd have to go thru to win the east

I hope the Flyers punish them for 7 full games.

Lining Scott up against Crosby is absolutely stupid. Unless you are planing on him sucker punching him which is gutless, there is no effing way Scott could ever catch a player like Crosby. Even if you try to have Scott shadow Crosby and paste him every time he touches the puck, his skating is not nearly good enough to do that well.

It would be a travesty if Stepan is injured for the playoffs. Seriously, I hope Philly makes them pay.

Agreed...
Only a select group of players could really be matched up with Cindy to make the series tough for him.

From Boston: Lucic & Chara
From Philly: Hartnell and ???
From NY: Dubinsky, Boyle, Callahan, Girardi

Even though our players are smaller and slightly less tough than the others they hit hard and can all skate. If all these guys finish their checks Crosby will be very sore.

My hope is Chara softens up Malkin good because our guys I don't believe are big enough to make each shift hurt to the same extent...

Maybe it was me but when they showed him on the bench sully was over his shoulder an it looked like he said "im fine I'm fine" then they went back to the ice cam, maybe just wishful thinking but they were obviously not going to put him back out on the ice for the last 5 minutes of a meaningless game...

injury or no injury Orpik needs to be suspended 10 games

so tired of the NHL not handing out tough enough suspensions on a regular basis and I also do not like the fact that players are not held out of the lineup suspended til an injured player comes back ... should be 10 games or more or until the injured player comes back ... whichever is longer
