I'd also like to hear some of those names... even one or two. I mean has anybody ever went directly from 3 years of college into the NHL playoffs and contributed anything at all? Ever?
Parker Milner is a free agent. He will get offers to turn pro. The Rangers have young goalies under contract. The Rangers have seen enough of him. Maybe they make him an offer.

but none that have the potential to be an NHL player.. most of the goalies the Rangers have in the minors might end up like Montoya being in the NHL due to lack of depth or a crappy team.. doubt any of the goalies in the AHL become an NHL starter..as far as the junior Rangers prospects well too early to tell..
My only thing with Milner is that he has gone relatively untested throughout this tournament. Sure he didn't let up a goal in 8 periods in this tournament, but none of these teams looked like they even belonged playing against BC. Air Force, Minnesota-Duluth, and even Minnesota with Bjugstad, Budish, and Rau...
BC is going to CRUSH Ferris State. Unless they just walk in overconfident and forget that there is an actual game to be played before they're crowned champions, BC should annihilate them. To me, they're the 2nd weakest team they've played so far in this tournament.

The Rangers have young goalies under contract, but they are not any good. If the Rangers are smart, they make a strong play for this kid.
Goalie is the weakest position in the Rangers system. Yes we have Hank, but after him we have NO PROJECTED STARTER.
Not saying that Milner is the answer to all of our future goatending woes, but he's better that any other prospect we have in the system.
Kreider seems to gush when he talks sometimes. I think it's enthusiasm but it also points to how young he still is. I think though he's matured quite a bit in his three years at BC.
I also expect the Rangers are going to try very hard to sign him after tomorrow night's game. Whether or not he does play in the playoffs that is as far as I know an unprecedented event in Ranger land at least since the current management team took over.
His goal was nice--not seemingly spectacular but he got himself and his stick into the best position for his teammate to find him and buried it like he knew exactly where he was going to put the puck. That's an NHL no ****ing around style goal.
It would be awesome if BC won. Having a highly confident, highly energized Kreider join the already so Rangers locker room would ease the transition and hopefully give him the boost needed to play some meaningful minutes in the first round.
Just looked at the Amonte wiki and it said he played 72 games with us in 93-94, was there no trade deadline? Just had to have deals done before the playoffs?
When Anisimov starts playing with some more drive and consistency then he can get more ice.
Anisimov has been good the last 2 games. Scored that great goal and drew all those penalties against the flyers. Last night he made the pass to Richards that Gabby should have buried. Defensively, he always shows up.
Has BC allowed a goal this tournament? Its been very disappointing.
Chris has looked a lot more active in the games i've seen him, definitely grown since last year's World Championships.
Just because BC's current style is not entirely different from ours, I am optimistic about how long it will take him to fit the team.
Milner finally gave up a goal last night, one they had to review to make sure it wasn't kicked in. Air Force put up a good fight, but BC has rolled otherwise.
Edit: BC has won 18 in a row, outscoring opponents 73-20 over the span. In their last 11, they have outscored opponents 44-8. That's sick.
