Fixed.

Well, I didn't actually fix it. The quote got scared and fixed itself.

Hypothetically, let's say Montreal was picking 2nd or 3rd and Toronto was picking 5th. The Habs approached TO about swapping picks and wanted Schenn in the deal. Would it happen? What would they need to add?

I dont see it really. I wouldn't I want schenn moved for moving only slots.

Unless Grigo or Gally was picked up at 1st. I just don't see it happening.

Pierre Lebrun said that Schenn + could have gotten Brown from the kings, so you figure that out.

imo Nathan Beaulieu.

Top 5 pick + Top 5 pick

for

Top 3 pick + 17 pick

Habs can't trade away players with French names at this time

Take Leblanc, Bournival and Beaulieu off the table.

Maybe add Gallagher?

I tend to disagree with the defense is the problem. It certainly is a problem, but Late Belfour, Tellqvist, Aubin, Raycroft, Toskala, Pogge, Clemmensen, Gerber, MacDonald and Late Giguere doesn't exactly scream #1 goaltender to me. Not to mention the troubles with Reimer and Gustavsson this season.

I'd love Gallagher. Kid looks to be a gem. + we would have Grigs and a Gally

Gallagher reminds me of Eberle, I don't know why. But if he can become half the player Ebs is I'd do that trade in a heartbeat.

I'd love Brown, but I don't see LA trading him, could see Dallas trading Morrow. Even though he's older then Brown, they play an awfully similar game, and Morrow would be a great veteran for some of the young guys (ie:Kadri). He's got a gold medal, captain experience and he's had an unsatisfactory year, so could be available.

We should make a strong play for Clowe this offseason. If SJ goes out early I think they will make some changes. Last night is a perfect example, huge game for the Sharks and Clowe has a goal, assist and gets into 2 fights. His value will be lower now then would have been the start of this season but the guy can play on any line, will play physical, fight, score goals and even is good in the shootout. Burke badly needs to aquire one of these Clowe, Simmonds, Clarkson types this offseason imo.

I would be extremely unhappy with that. The difference between a grigs and galchenyuk isn't a schenn. Hopefully we don't give up on him (and I doubt burke trades him)

Clowe or Brown are two players I am heavily interested in acquiring.

Yep. Either of these guys would be an absolute gem. Would give a huge boost to our forward corps.

If we acquire clowe this offseason. Draft tom wilson we would have possibly 3 premier PFs in the system (biggs clowe and wilson) and we would also have little gritty guys like ross and kadri will be coming up, along with lupul (who won't throw the big hit but will grind away) and same with kulemin and frattin we have a much bigger team, just gotta wait but clowe would be so nice

As long as it doesn't cost us a fortune. I'd love a clowe or two in our top six.

Anyone think that if were picking at 5th or so and Dumba, or Murray are available Flyers would try and get that pick off us for one of theiir centers?

Hard to say. Depends how the playoffs go for them.

I could see it being possible, they have an abudance of forwards and lack some quality young dman. If Brayden can perform this playoff and get some chemistry with maybe a line of Simmonds-Schenn-Briere it could make Couturier expandable to bring in a high quality dman.

I don't think it makes anyone expendable. It makes Philly very happy about the depth they've assembled.

The Abbot signing and the rumoured Schultz potential signing bring more skilled speedy soft small players to our prospect pool.

This team cannot rely on all 4 of Biggs Ross Devane Broll making the team just to counter our small soft lineup

We need bigger stronger players on all 4 lines..

I dont mind the signings but they need to replace equally soft players not be an addition too

Clowe would be a great acquisition and i think we should find a way to get Wilson no matter what and perhaps Scissons as well to bring more grit and size to our prospect pool ..

Colin Wilson has fallen out of favour in Nashville, he is currently playing the 4th line or in the press box however he has 34 points in 67 games playing mostly 3rd line minutes in a defensive system. Sitting at 6'1" 210, he definitely fits the need for size and at 22 yo also fits in the age structure of the team. Wonder what it take to get him? Could be our future #2 guy to replace Grabovski.

I'd love Wilson here

He's not a center, and should not be playing C anymore.

He has potential to be a top line winger with size. Something we need.

Kulemin + for Wilson

He definitely can be a C, however he has similar defensive deficiencies as Kadri
