Well, you've got to imagine Miller is the starter for the US. And Boucher could probably back him up, but he'll be competing with DiPietro (if he's still healthy, I've lost track) and Montoya.
In terms of defensemen, you've got Bogo and Buff, Erik and Jack Johnson, Myers, Fowler, Whitney, Gleason, Liles, Goligoski, Wisniewski, Leopold, then the possible rookies like Gardiner and Faulk.
Congrats, but that's a bit of an ominous job. Replacing a coach that never coached a game? I'd pass to be completely honest, try to latch on as an assistant somewhere in the states.
But hey, if it's what he wants, more power to him. You've got to be a good coach to coach in the KHL. Congrats to him!
Heh, I was just coming here to see if anyone knew what team he was coaching.

How do you know if he was offered any jobs in North America? It's not like his resume sparkles! I'm glad he's no longer on the Canes payroll to be honest.

How can you be glad he's no longer with this organization? Not like the season he spent as an assistant coach or the one year as a pro scout?
Seriously, the guy had like no impact on the team so I fail to see how anyone could care, much less be glad, that he's gone.
Good to hear JR say that corporate sales and ticket revenue are up despite the disappointing season. Also, it sounds like that new TV contract is going to be a pretty significant revenue bump.

According to SBD, Carolina Hurricanes were the only Eastern Conf. team to have a % decrease in attendance this season: -2.6%.
Those difference between those numbers comes out to ~-2% rather than -2.6%, using the standard 18,680 that the PNC is said to hold.
Hmm...
Not to get all nerdy, but you can't use the capacity of PNC when calculating the drop in attendance, you have to use last years attendance as the base. Based on Coop's numbers:
(16415-16042) / 16415 = ~2.3%.
Ok, I did get all nerdy. Not that it really matters if is 2%, 2.3% or 2.6%.
I'm interested in both the east and west. I have a hard time right now rooting for any of the teams in the east, but I'm just as interested in the games (especially Pitt/Philly and Bos/Wash)
