AHL Bench Brawl - Milwaukee vs Rockford

Best video found so far.

Rockford IceHogs Twitter

@goicehogs
We have out first fight of the afternoon as Shawn Lalonde and Michael Latta dance. Both guys exchanging some big punches. Five a side.

@goicehogs
The benches have cleared in Milwaukee. Forget "line brawl." How about a bench brawl? Absolute chaos as both benches empty. Royal Rumble?

@goicehogs
Both teams have been sent to their dressing rooms. 2nd intermission comes early before returning to finish final 9 minutes of the 2nd period

@goicehogs
#IceHogs: Flick-2 for unsportsmanlike, 5 for fighting, game misconduct. Hutton, Stanton, Lalonde 5/game misconducts. Dent-game misconduct.

@goicehogs
Alexander Salak has replaced Carter Hutton in the #IceHogs net. Atte Engren in for Jeremy Smith.
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Milwaukee Admirals ‏Twitter

@mkeadmirals
Latta and Lalonde drop the gloves and head to the box for roughing 9:52 left in the second period.

@mkeadmirals
CHAOS ERUPTS!! Flick starts pounding on Jeremy Smith and both teams start fighting. This is nuts.

@mkeadmirals
We head into a sudden intermission after that massive brawl ... We'll be back to play the remaining 9 minutes of2nd period hockey after...

@mkeadmirals
And we finally finish the second period! Ads still trail the IceHogs 1-0. (around a 30 minute delay)

The first video I could find. The quality isn't good. Still trying to find a HQ video of the fight.

Milwaukee Admirals vs Rockford Icehogs bench clearing brawl

Also an article about the game.

Admirals take 1 point and 86 penalty minutes in 2-1 shootout loss to IceHogs

Quote:
MILWAUKEE - In what was arguably the craziest game of the season, the Admirals dropped a shootout decision to the Rockford IceHogs 2-1 Sunday afternoon at the Bradley Center. Although the Admirals gained a point in the tightly contested Western Conference, the big news of the night was the bench clearing brawl that occured halfway through the second period. Including the penalties assessed for the brawl, Milwaukee accrued 86 penalty minutes in this game alone (Rockford with 80).

Rockford took an early lead midway through the first, after forward Kyle Beach scored with slow wrister just off Smith's right skate. The goal marked Beach's fifth of the year, and gives the Kelowna, British Columbia native his fourth point in six games.

I like at around 2:35 when the players from both teams are all milling about like "oh ****, what did we just do."

Rob Flick, Shawn Lalonde, and Michael Latta suspended 3 games, Jeremy Smith suspended one game, both head coaches fined, both franchises fined.

I don't think I've seen many bench clearers that weren't disappointing. There's too many guys on the ice for much to happen, and the camera usually has no idea where to go. Line brawls usually have way more action, aside from the novelty value.

Yeah I miss those days. Now if there is a Rangers/Devils line brawl with everyone on the ice the skirts get fussy

I was there in person. My seats are by the south goal, the one Smith was in. I haven't seen something like that in 20 years. There were 10 gamers handed out. I blame Flick for being a total moron and attacking Smith during a TO. The faceoff should have been 100 feet away, so Flick should not have been there. He really should have gotten more than 3 games for triggering the brawl.

Dent was yelling at some of the Admirals players after the fight. Three or four of them looked like they were ready to charge into the Rockford bench to get him. That is why the refs sent the teams back to the dressing rooms. Dent nearly triggered a second brawl, and coaches should not be doing that. Ian Herbers, the Milwaukee coach, got tired of Dent and started yelling at him. That is part of why both head coaches were tossed out.

Brodie Dupont went after Flick. Jeremy Smith didn't skate away, so both of them were hammering Flick in the corner. Flick needed stitches. Most of the other players didn't really want to fight each other. The goalie from Rockford jumped Smith from behind so Smith was fighting him too. Ford and Paradis were fighting near the goal. Victor Bartley was fighting somebody on the end boards and didn't get a penalty. There was so much going on at the same time that the 4 officials couldn't see or remember it all. They did do a good job overall, except that none of them saw Flick leave the Rockford bench and skate towards Smith (in the wrong direction).

Latta was fighting somebody, maybe LeLonde again. I didn't see what happened originally. Latta, who will fight does but doesn't very often, was really angry about something that was said or done to him down in the same corner before the brawl started. He and LeLonde both came out of the penalty boxes. I didn't even notice Latta until I saw him skating around without his jersey.

Whoever the DJ was at this game deserves a job in the NHL. Epic choices for music

I don't remember his name. He works for Music in Motion, been doing it for years.

When the Wolves lose in Milwaukee, he plays "The Night Chicago Died". He mixes in the usual Jock Jams along with other music, like "Shout" or "Cracklin Rose". Johnny Cash's "Ring of Fire" is a crowd favorite in Milwaukee. It gets played almost every home game. For fights, you might get Barney's "I Love You" or "Everybody Was Kung Fu Fighting".
