I just wanna know why NBA has the 2K series, NFL has Madden, MLB has the Show, all these series franchise mode is very very good especially NBA an MLB yet when it comes to NHL nothing changes, EA needs to revamp the whole thing build it from scratch, for the first time since 93 I didn't buy NHL this year and I won't next year unless BE A GM is improved and multiplayer be a gm is allowed.
Better AI for your team mates in be a pro would be a start. If you play as a goalie and want to face more than 10 shots a game you have to ramp up the difficulty... but all that does is turn your team into a bunch of idiots. Also, they lack variation in their play - the AI always attacks the same way (cycle, pass, cycle, pass, cycle, weak shot... rinse and repeat). When defending they don't move... they just skate to their pre determined position and sit there. The d-men never try to clear the front of the net, and watch open mouthed as rebounds lie juicily in the crease.
Also, improve the goalie controls. I'm fed up with him "locking" to the wrong post at the worst possible time...
A more in depth approach to strategy would be good. As it stands it has very little bearing on how the game plays out.
Better injury system. Often times it feels like I have about 6 guys out injured for a long time, and every other team in the league loses 6 man-games total all year.
A rivalry system, where games between heated rivals is played at a higher intensity, with more scraps and the like. I played a hockey game on the ps2 that had that, and it was awesome.
Better board play would be good too. something that better reflects reality, instead of your guy holding it against the boards with his foot for 4 seconds then either losing it or kicking it.
More realistic hitting. If you absolutely destroy somebody with a big open ice hit, then he should feel it. That said, less giant hits. Not every hit in the NHL is going to kill players, but it seems in video game land it does.
Checking from behind needs to be called a lot more often and AI need to be smarter about the goalie interference penalties. I've seen AI go all the way down the ice with no one within 20 ft of them and they just ram into the goalie. As for checking from behind, people do it to me almost every game and it rarely gets called. When it does get called, it's usually only a 2 min penalty. In the real NHL checking from behind is almost always a 5 min major.
Gm Mode: Injuries less frequent, and my god fix the draft, it is god awful. There should not be 300 19-20 year olds every year, let alone in the first round.
Half the builds are unusable for competitive EASHL play.
Defensemen builds are way off-balanced and lack the appropriate attributes to keep up with forward builds. The TWD build is the most faulty game in the build as it ends up being defensively inferior to a TWF while having average offensive stats. The TWD should be at least equivalent to the TWF defensively.

More custom options when making jerseys in EASHL or just custom teams.....
A way to delete custom players (I had to dump them somewhere in the Elite to get rid of them lol).
Be a Gm in general.
-Injuries (Too many of this **** GUHHHHH)
-Consistency of simming
-Trading
-Prospect Grading
-More realistic trade values
-Commentary, News Clippings
-A screen that is more fluid then this chunky piece of crap.
Balanced player builds, along with more of them (what happened to the dangler?).
Online BEAGM would be amazing! Then being able to join a league....might be a bit too strict and time consuming to actually coordinate though lol.
More in depth strategy that actually applies to the players (Such as going to the far side of the net so I can pass to you for a tip in, instead of going all the way to the boards or staying at the point).
Penalties They just make no sense some times.
AI. EVERY DAMN YEAR. At least they actually shoot now.....
More dekes. I do the same one over and over....it works.
Gameplay, pay attention to the detail of GAMEPLAY, not the graphics.
I love NHL 12, there is just potential for so much more.
Navigating and creating a system that allows you to for ex. giving a salary to a custom player, insert a value that you would deem a valid salary, instead of going up by intervals of 5% -.- or names to find what player you are looking for instead of alphabetical order.
In essence, the game just needs to be more easily oriented in an orderly and concise fashion, and it would be great.
They have to make the announcers talk about more things related each team, it gets tiring having them talk about what a dandy of a young d-man Luke Schenn is for Toronto when he's 30 years old and not even on the team anymore.
In my Winnipeg franchise, they constantly talk about the Thrashers
And please, no more Fred Ovechkins from Canada and ******** like that
This! Also have it so drop in games are found like searching for a dungeon in WoW. Each player picks his position and if he wants to play with a friend they both join a party. Then they search and it'll search for the remaining positions. This will lower the amount of back outs before the game starts and it'll let us play drop in games with friends. NHL 12 is actually perfect when it's 6v6 EASHL and everyone knows how to play.
1 - Individual penalty sliders. The CPU penalties slider doesn't work. PERIOD. So rather than fix it so that it does work, let me control the amount of hooking, slashing (stick penalties) and roughing, interference, and boarding/elbowing penalties (aggressiveness penalties) that the CPU can take.
Always last place in the league for times on PP, and I'm something like 120 TPPs off of the 29th place team. WTF is that.
2 - Be a GM; I think it's a decent mode already. People are giving it too much of a hard time. Tweaks can be made to prospect grading, and the draft system etc., but nothing major needs to be changed at all here. I think they have a solid system in place already.
3 -FIX THE DAMN AI! If you play Casual, or Pro, the AI should be as smart as it is in Superstar; the AI "dumbs" down, especially on rushes, when you move to superstar.
4 - GOALIE. FRICKING. AI! They suck! Doesn't matter if you have the best goalie in the league, they still let in ****** goals, and seem incapable of stopping shots from guys who come out from in behind the net. The goalie's play on the posts is horrendous. How many times have you guys had your goalie just carelessly slide off of his near post for no reason?

they can't stop anything, not a simple wrist shot from the point
Computer players are way too stupid. I'm playing on superstar difficulty with my Be A Pro and I've played 418 games and have over 1,400 points. It's way too easy. There's a challenge on occasion, but they're too dumb to even pose a threat.
NHL 12 is way too laggy. Even when it's OFFLINE, it lag-spikes like a beeeeeyatch.

This is true.
The game still feels like a beta in many respects: the horrendous in-game sound effects (you know, the sound FX dupilcation and looping issues), the looooong loading times for certain menus, the clunky navigation around the menus so that you can't avoid said loading times being repeated over and over again, awkward glitches in game that lead to freezes, in-game events that seem to stress the engine and cause the game to lag.
every song on this game is unbelievably bad, cheesy and overall irritating. Add the fact that the menu music volume resets after every game and it can pretty much be defined as torture.
If the last 2 years are any indication, the first screenshot should be released at the begining/mid may, followed by a few infos. Then you would have the community event happening at the end of may, again followed by a few infos. So we should start hearing about it next month.
