more like a drink of a drink.. since a (alcoholic) drink at staples cost about twice that.

With all the talk about concussions lately, I initially read "Kings celebrating record attendance by giving fans concussion voucher".

Free concussions for fans? Or the right to cause one player or staff member of your choice a concussion?

According to ESPN the Kings averaged 18,083 per game last year and have 17,910 this season, so what is the record? Or is this just another case of ESPN being wrong on attendance numbers again. Nice numbers either way, though.

How is that special, I don't think I've ever been to Staples without some sort of free soda, free hot dog type propmotion enticing me.

The discrepancy is likely due to the opening games in Europe.

From the Kings PR piece.

Quote:
Average attendance: Entering tonight the Kings have averaged 18,113 through 38 home dates at STAPLES Center. Note: the first two games in Europe this season counted as Kings “home games” but are not counted in home attendance figures. (The previous record was 18,083 set last season).
