Ryane Clowe plays the puck - from the bench. No call.

Do you actually watch hockey? How can you say this with a straight face?
What happens on the ice happens on the ice. This isn't even someone that is on the playing field. That's like someone knocking down a pass from the sidelines in football. Cheating on the ice is a whole different matter. Players dive, players take shots when the refs aren't looking, but something like this? Don't let me being a Kings fan fool you - I'm annoyed that the refs missed it, but I would be saying the same thing if it was any player that did this. This isn't hockey, this is interfering with the integrity of the game. There's no other way to put it. I've never seen it in an NHL game before.

Be angry. Call out the refs. Call out Clowe for breaking the rules and getting away with it. That's totally fine and I understand. LA got screwed over pretty badly and I'd be pissed too. I don't support what Clowe did because it could have, and should have, cost the Sharks pretty dearly.

But to act like Clowe broke some age old unwritten rule and apparently violated everything sacred about the sport of hockey is flat out one of the dumbest things I've ever heard.

What Clowe did was no different than playing with an illegal stick curve. Cheating? Sure. Should have been a penalty? Of course. Suspension worthy? Vile? A travesty? Grow up.
Cheating at a game is disrespecting it. I think you might be overreacting to people's use of the word. Diving is disrespecting the game, too. Lots of players disrespect it in some way or another.

This thread is getting more and more absurd. I love the guy who has been watching for 30 years and this is the worst incident lol. Chris Simon trying to decapitate Ryan Holweg is nothing compared to Ryane Clowe being a moron.
