Trade it for a more established young up and coming D man. Something of the PK, OEL caliber.

Take the BPA or trade down and recoup the value of the pick.

A defenseman who can step in right away would be preferred but not at the expense of value.

Whether they want to or not, they need a defenceman.

Murray.... Murayy... .I like.... Murray.

GIVE ME MURRAY!

NOW!

Hall-Hopkins-Eberle
Haritikainen-Gagner-Hemsky is good enough up front until the other kids in the AHL/CHL develop as long as Hemsky/Hall don't spend too much time on the IR.... pops... yeah I see the problem. :/

Grigorenko.

**** Gagner, he's garbage. Won't cut it as our #2 center.

He more or less does just fine when he's got a decent shooter to play with.

He's garbage when he's playing with garbage. It's not like you can expect him to be Sidney Crosby.

He has played with Hemsky, Hall, Hartikainen, and Eberle and the outcome of that this season has been...47 points. You want centers to make the players around them better but Gagner makes them worse. The game versus the Ducks displayed that quite well. Hemsky with Gagner = meh. Hemsky moved to the RNH line = great. Wasn't the first time either.

Draft Ryan Murray. They need a good defenseman, he's probably the best 1 in the draft this year.

I just dont like the tendency in drafting a Dman so high given the recent track record with guys such as: Johnson, Bogosian, Hedman, and even Doughty now. Not saying Murray will be a disappointment necessarily, but I think trading the pick for an established Dman may be a better gamble.

Grigorenko for me if we keep the pick.

RNH and eberle
Hall and Grigorenko

it doesn't even matter who your other wingers are, those are some sick duos.
Then you pursue trades/free agent Dmen with all you've got.

If they decide they want a dman, i'd be interested in something based around the pick for schenn and torontos pick, with obvious tweaking on both sides. That trade would really help our D, and fast.

Draft Grigorenko and try like mad to sell J. Schultz on playing in Edmonton with a wealth of talented offensive stars.
I don't see the Oilers getting players like a signed Weber or Suter, OEL or Subban for the pick so just take the BPA which appears to be Grigorenko and roll with an RNH-Grigorenko combo down the middle for the next 7-10 years at least, not too shabby.

Funny Hall and Eberle both had their career high in points in a game with Gagner centering them plus his 8 point career high as well but your the expert

This. Whoever is the third wheel on either line just needs to crash the net. Though trading for a D+still top 5 pick wouldn't be out of the question.

This. Grigs can ride 3rd line, and move up the depth charts from there (like Landeskog did). If he's good enough. It'll be a fight for a LW & C spot between PRV, Grig, & Gagner.

Right side has Ebs and Hemsky, 1C is RNH, 1/2 LW is Hall. Duke it out boys.
