So Ice get swept, Reinghart didn't play tonight as he received a 1 games suspension for a misconduct penalty received last game. Wheat kings won their series so Ferland will continue playing and Baertschi currently has 2 assists tonight
Disappointing about the Ice, especially after last season.

Ya, Reinhart didn't really have the most impressive season either. Not bad, just expected a bit more in his final year.

he had a much less talented team this year, that has to be taken into consideration. Last year they were a dominant team that shocked no one but maybe Portland.

Pretty far off on that prediction of yours
At least we still have other prospects to watch this spring.

So can we be expecting to see Max join the Heat? Don't understand what the hold was/is with signing Leach.....

Heat are getting healthier just in time for the playoffs as well. Add in the guys being returned from the big club and it will be a good injection of talent.
Bouma I'm sure will be returned shortly....but with Horak going back down, could we also send Brodie down to get some playoff experience? He's actually played more games for Abby than Horak has.

Max is listed on as on the roster on the Heat's website, however there hasn't been an article or press release confirming yet.

Leach may be tired or balking at signing a contract.

Bouma can be sent to Abbotsford for the playoffs but Brodie can not. Brodie is not on the Heat's clear day list or whatever its called ashe was not in the AHL when it was made. The only players that can be added to that list is PTOs due to injury or Junior age players who's season has ended.

Leach is headed to the Heat on an ATO. Still unsigned to a ELC though. And Reinhart has been listed as being assigned to the Heat by Calgary on the AHL's transaction page.

Gaudreau and Arnold have advance to the NCAA Frozen Four Championship game with a 6-1 win over the Minnesota Golden Gophers.

Johnny Gaudreau put up 2 more assists and was a plus 2. Arnold had 1 assist and was +1

I don't understand how Gaudreau didnt win rookie of the year

is it because he's playing for such a good program?

Gaudreau just potted a BEAUTY. Undressed about 2-3 players clean, and then went top right shoulder. Amazing to say the least.

Edit; Guess keg just beat me to it!

Johnny. Gaudreau. I wish the Flyers could have grabbed the local kid.
