Best way to erase the stench is to go out Saturday and win a Pacific Division title. I know the Kings need someone to help against Phoenix, but I really believe that game on Saturday night will be for the Pacific.

So the refs who missed seeing it are more to blame than the guy who actually did it? That's an interesting perspective...

The only people who deserve any hate for this are the refs. As it's a bench penalty the linesmen could have called it (right?). That means absolutely no official was looking at the puck or, they saw it and decided not to call it. Clowe isn't some classless pos, he's a jokester playing in a beer league.

Emotions are running high, and that's understandable. It could factor into us not winning the division. But so could some 20 other plays in that game. This one is just easier to blame because it stands out.
The amazing thing is that Jim Fox saw it immediately from 150 feet away and commented on it, yet 4 officials from much closer did not see it.

And you are wrong, Clowe is some classless POS - as are most (95% or higher?) HF shark fans today.

When will the Kings get away with something that seemingly affects the outcome of a game, when video evidence clearly shows they were in the wrong (and no clock gate comments either as the NHL operates the clock, and the Kings still would have had a 50/50 or better chance at the 2nd point in OT or SO anyway)

Absolutely.

Clowe is to blame for the puck being knocked away.
But the refs are to blame for the hate. If they had called the penalty, the kings get a 5 on 3, and no one in LA would be angry at clowe for the play, just amused.

The refs absolutely should be the target of the hatred.

While I can see your point of view ... that's like saying "well it's the police fault for not stopping the Drunk Driver from killing that child walking across the street."

No the Drunk Driver is the one that knowing BROKE the LAW, just like CLOWeN did ... it's a shame that FOUR NHL on ice officials didn't see it, and a further SHAME that the NHL is such a joke of a league not to even acknowledge it. When events like this happen and go unpunished/undressed ... you can see why many people that aren't Hockey fans will continue to NOT be hockey fans and compare this sport to the likes of Pro-Wrestling.

Some people have a problem with what he did and that's fine. Most people though, have a problem with the fact that it wasn't called, and that's on the refs. What he did amounted to one broken play, and wouldn't even have amounted to that if the Kings kept their composure, hardly the worst thing. You can argue he disrespected the game but, you can argue many people do that (divers, cheap shot artists, people who intentionally trip people.)

If Clowe gets called, he's our favourite Shark.

As for Clock gate, it's ridiculous that it's still being talked about. But it shouldn't be related to this.

None of the four officials on the ice saw the play. If they had, they would have called it.

I don't understand your way of thinking.

So why act like nothing happened and make a big joke of it afterwards?

Tweeting to Logan Couture and asking him "Hey if you know what I did will you let me know." And **** like that. MAN UP when it happens. Don't have this giant smirk on your face after the game and say "I don't know what you're talking about, you'll have to show me some video."

Good on him for saying what we all knew...but **** man don't make a big joke out of it before you double back and say "oh yea herp derp it was stupid."
