We do have to be careful with García, he has a habit of getting himself into trouble quickly after a good game. So I understand taking him out at this point, but there will come a stage this season where we are going to have to be looking to leave him out past the 6th on a regular basis.
At least we had a 9 run lead with McClellan giving up that 3 run shot in the bottom of the ninth! More base runners... nothing like ending a good game on a bad note.
I have no idea what the feelings are in the St. Louis area about Albert, but my feelings are the same as the day he signed with the Angels... not really bothered.
I loved Albert as a Cardinal, but when you look at the best interests of the Cardinals, I'd rather not have that kind of contract.
I agree, I've always been a Cards fan since I was a kid, and always will be. He's gone, so I just don't give him much of a thought, I don't pay a lot of attention to other teams. Out of sight, out of mind I guess. Just neutral about it. And I do agree it wasn't in the best interest of the team to spend that sort of money on one player who may not have a lot of good years left.
Yay MLB free-view on direct TV this week so I get to watch some games. That made my day I know what I'm doing this weekend.
They are playing great. Westbrook and Lohse have been absolutely outstanding in their 5 starts so far. Almost forgot how good Lynn has looked as well.
Hopefully Waino can get his game together though. He'll find the extra few mph as the season goes on and his arm gets stronger, but he looks as though he is trying to force things just now.
Another triple tonight, weird to see us actually hitting triples for a change.
Am I the only one annoyed with the fact Matheny doesn't allow the pitchers go beyond 7 innings? Lynn only had 88 pitches, could have easily gone 8 maybe the all 9.
Lynn with another excellent outing, 1 run in 7 innings and goes to 3-0. This is why Molina will be worth his contract.
I'm convinced Molina is the absolute reason we're 10-4. Without him, I wouldn't be surprised if the Cardinals were 5-5 at best if they didn't have Yadi.

He's had 14 games in his career, lets wait awhile before we use the word doesn't. Lynn has typically been a pitcher that doesn't go deep into games, and I'll trust that Matheny and Molina both know when pitchers are about to become not as effective. It is always best to make a change before damage is done than after.
