Duchene+++ for Ryan+Fowler
Is there any possible way for this to be fair for Ducks fans?
NO untouchables. If you're going to add somebody like Landeskog to the deal, however you better make sure flame suits are on sale first.
Just trying to see if a deal as such could be worked out between these two teams, they seem like pretty good trading partners with the Avs having a surplus of Centers and Ducks having some high-end wingers.

The only way I see us packaging both together would be if we're making a run at a major name.

It's totally unrealistic for BOTH to go, I'm really trying to gauge value here. I think that Duchene, Siemens and 2013 2nd would be close...or Duchene, Elliot and 2013 1st. Maybe add a player with some potential such as Jones...Who knows. Just trying not to get totally flamed.

The difference between Ryan and Duchene isn't Fowler. And Ducks can't afford to move one of their younger, cheaper and better defensemen (aka Fowler).

That's what the "+++" is for. They can if they're receiving someone like Elliot who's still on an ELC.

There isn't any deal which makes sense from an Avs perspective which will be proposed, imo.

I know you mentioned +++ but I don't think you have a +++ that doesn't make either a lateral trade or an even trade for both parties.
Ie; Duchene + Johnson for Ryan + Fowler is a lateral move. Duchene + Siemans for Ryan + Fowler isn't enough.

Put it this way, Fowler has a higher price tag than Ryan does.

Just can't see them trading Fowler, like ever. Especially with the Schultz situation's uncertainty.
I'd love to get Duchene though.

why not just center it around ryan and duschene? fowler seems like it would be impossible to balance.
i think anh would have to add, consdering years to UFA.

It's been done before and just ends in a back and forth argument. I just felt like this could be a little more civilized, rather than a pissing match between Ryan and Duchene.

Ryan for Duchene (maybe +) is a fair trade.
If you want Fowler it will have to include RoR or Lando. And maybe more.
I don't think the ducks would swap Fowler for EJ either.

Only way Fowler would be moved is if 1 of the following happen:
1. We sign a legit #1 to a longterm contract (Suter, Weber).
2. Schultz signs with us and just completely lights it up next year.
3. He is moved in a package for a legit #1 that is already signed.
If we move Fowler and Visnovsky retires that leaves us with no PMD and Sbisa and Beauchemin as our only top 4 defenders.

Just for ***** and giggles:
Ryan, Fowler, 2012 1st, 2012 2nd
Duchene, Landeskog, EJ
Neither team does it.

More like
Perry, Ryan, Fowler
for
Duchene, Landeskog, EJ
Even then I'd say no.

That's actually very close in value
it makes Anaheim a better team imo
But those picks could be very good players as well.

As I said, there won't be an offer that makes sense from an Avs perspective. The one you said was "close" wasn't even in the ballpark for what we'd do.

IMO:
Duchene = Ryan
Lando <<< Perry
EJ > Fowler
Ducks still wouldn't do it, but it's not anywhere near as bad as you made it out to be.

Like I said, neither team does that one I proposed but this one is pretty bad. Just value wise the Ducks get ***** in this.
Perry>Duchene
Ryan>Lando
Fowler=EJ ( I think Fowler is better but I am totally willing to credit that to homerism so i will give it a draw)

I'd definitely rather have (and value) Duchene over Ryan. Big fan of his.

No from Anaheim....Duchene is a great young player, but Fowler is simply not going anywhere, Fowler has tasted success, he has tasted an up and down year, next year will be his breakout season
The difference between Ryan and Duchene is not Fowler....
Anaheim does not consider this type of trade, til they see how the draft plays out. they are in a good position to add a potential first line center prospect in Galchenyuk, or another strong defensemen.
