The good news of that is that probably more peoples will encourage the Flyers to beat the Penguins in the first round of the playoff.
What's worse is the Orpik hit isn't even being reviewed, no phone call either.

Can't talk poorly about the league's model franchise and golden boy.

True.

I wonder if any Philly writers will talk about this? If so, please share.

Also, it's interesting what Tort's nemesis Larry Brooks wrote:

The double standard as applied to Penguins by NHL office is appalling. More about this coming in Slapshots on Sunday.

Lemieux writes public letter threatening to sell team, excoriating league and gets off scot-free for his tantrum.

Cost of protecting Mario Lemieux apparently starts with $20,000 out of John Tortorella's pocket.

I follow to many people on twitter. This is all I could dig up.

Whoa, Torts got fined DOUBLE what Lavy did for his comments last night. And Torts didn't even break a stick.

This just in ... Torts fined $20,000 for ripping Penguins whiners, but MSG Network raises his salary and offers him his own show

Please do everyone in the league a favor and beat the crap out of those arrogant whiners in the first round. If I have to hear a national broadcaster speak highly of Matt Cooke for the seemingly amazing task of not almost ending someone's career this year with a cheap shot one more time I might throw my remote through the tv.

I concur. Bruin and Ranger fans unite and are rooting SO HARD for you guys.

I am starting to LIKE the Flyers. My hatred for the Pens is incredible!

its ****ing disgusting that Orpik isnt even fined for that knee on knee hit on Stepan. Tortorella fined 20k for speaking out on the leagues golden child organization.

I don't think Orpik intended to hurt Stepan, but if the play isn't even under review, then that's insane.

Wouldn't you consider him a decent backup, though? And from what I hear, Salak hasn't had the greatest season, so what other options do you have other than perhaps look at UFAs?

Nashville to host the Wings in round one.

Chicago blew their chance to bump the Wings to 6th.

I wanted the Hawks to get someone who can push Crawford or take #1 job outright

Pretty happy that Hawks didn't get #5 spot

Preds dominate the Hawks

Last night, they can be jumped again tonight though. They're only 1 pt up on the Sharks, and Kings. Just wish the Stars stayed hot and the Ducks made it back to make it the ultimate end of the season.

Akim Aliu had 2 goals and a 10 minute misconduct in his first NHL game. Calgary-Colorado games might become interesting next season.

Ah, yeah you're right. Should have looked him up first. Just saw him score and had to check the box score to see if I had that right. Last I heard of him he was allowed to join a team in Austria... Good for him to get his career back on track after some tumultous seasons.
