I called Artie with a breakout year as well.

Me too, though I didn't have a specific point total on record. We get a partial pass on that because he was injured, and got jerked around a lot with different positions on different lines, and while it's smart to practice that stuff every so often in case of injury, I disagree that it helps chemistry; just the opposite.

I knew Girardi would have another solid year but I had no idea he'd be All Star good.
Would still trade him for that tactical sniper/Shea Webber upgrade we need, but would now demand more for him.

I had confidence Girardi could be moved because McDonagh would improve, solidly, and MDZ would at least return to form. I was right on both counts, but again wrong as to degree.

For most off I'd say like most of us I felt Hagelin would be here by end of the year getting noticed. Felt his speed --- a bit slower than Kreider --- would stand out. But he doesn't have the size or a blazing shot, so I thought real but modest step up. He's looking like one of the best late picks ever!

This is only because Tysen Dowzak was severed from us early on. I saw him as UPWARDS OF Stu Bickel with a better shot, less than that but a barely serviceable 6 or 7 who could at least certainly clear the crease and would deliver a difference maker of a shot on the still atrocious PP.
Unfortunately, he cannot skate.
Fortunately, McIlrath can

I thought this was a 4th-6th ranked team. Not sure if that really calls for "crow" but I never thought we'd be Presidents trophy good. Actually I would have laughed in your face if you told me that.

I was really down on Gabby after last year, and questioned his heart / effort. Honestly beyond his bounce back in the goal department he looks so much more bought in, and the effort is there so much more consistently. That's all I'm asking for.

"Hagelin is not NHL ready. He will need at least a year in the A"

I thought wolski would contribute this year. Gotta admit it I'm somewhat biased towards him (fellow pole), but I do wish he got more of a shot. But I'll man up on expecting him to produce, regardless of the circumstances

I did not think Hagelin had a role on this team this year. To be honest I didn't see him play much at Michigan, was more going off what I read. Figured atleast a year in the AHL would be best for him.

I was dead wrong.

I have more crow to eat, although it is off topic. I thought BC was going nowhere and that York's system was a joke to Kreider. Another title certainly shut me up.

I felt this was a top four seed team. Didn't think we were Presidents Trophy contenders.

Felt Dubinsky was going to have a big year. Unfortunately his goal scoring struggled.

Everything else worked out, pretty much.

A lot of people predicted a big year for Del Zotto. Happened. A big year for Henke. Happened. Gaborik and Richards to eventually click. Happened. Our young guys to take steps forward. Happened.

I think most people were very close.

The expectations were high, and this team didn't disappoint. Im upset for, for them, that they couldn't get the Presidents Trophy they fought for the right to earn. But the biggest prize is still up for grabs.

Been a heck of a year. And hopefully more special moments are yet to happen.

Let's Go Rangers!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I thought Dubi would be in the high 20's in goals, maybe even hit 30.

Saying that Teemu Selanne was going to be traded to the Rangers.
