It's the longest winning streak in professional hockey to date. And they're still alive.

Still probably just a fluke, tho.

Ok the fluke things is getting old and tired. So lame.

This streak means crap if they can't win the Calder Cup. They better win or else it will be an embarrassment.

Well. Maybe the league should schedule two of their games on the same day, but I bet they'd still end up winning both. This is crazy.

Anyone had a chance to watch Namestnikov in the play-offs? Stats wise he isn't performing on a very good team which is a bit concerning. Is he playing his way back onto the London roster for next year?

Norfolks Dman, Mark Barberio gets Defenseman of the Year!

Last AHL team to get Coach & Dman of the year were the "other" Admirals (Milwaukee) back in 04, they went on to win the Calder Cup that year

Congrats to him and coach Cooper, but do you believe he's ready for NHL duty?

You can PayPerView games on AHLLive.com, its like $7 a game, dont know if it goes up during playoffs or not.

You can also listen to it at 1021thegame.com or download the 1021 The Game Phone App.

Re: Barberio, eh, maybe, He quarterbacks the first PP Unit and is very good at it. Could be a bit tougher, IMO

Why do they hand out awards before the season is even over?

Because of Norfolk, the season is effectively over.

Don't besmirch the Milwaukee Admirals. That other defenseman you speak of is FORMER SOLAR BEAR CURTIS MURPHY.

Anyway, good for Conacher. The list of ROY winners who went on to productive NHL careers is quite impressive.

especially compared to the AHL MVP.

Well there is no need for a comparison now!

Cory Conacher named League MVP!

From AHL free agent to Lightning camp invite to AHL MVP. Only the 4th rookie to win it too.

Get that Calder Cup and we're all set here.
