I suspect that I may have chosen the worst possible time to cancel our Canal+ subscription.
When did TV4 get the rights to the Worlds and why the hell haven't I heard about it until now?
I believe the games will be on TV4, TV4 sport and TV4 sport extra(this channel will open up the same day as the World champs). The latter is a HD channel. Nothing will be on C+ afaik.
Fasth
Gustavsson
Eriksson (began to write "Liv" here, guess it hasn't settled in yet... )
* might be in the playoffs with Ottawa
I'm sure I've fotgotten about a few players, but we seem to lack good centers....and defencemen...and wingers...and goalies. Good thing Gustavsson isn't coaching anymore or we'd be in group B next season.
I think you meant Silfverberg instead of Klingberg. The center issue may be solved if Washington loses early, Bäckstrom would be a great first line center and Johansson could be used on the third line. Not sure if I would have Mårtensson on my final team.

Yes, I always confuse their names, haha...
Mårtensson was second in points in the KHL this season, that's better than all the other availible centers at this point.
Hedman and Landeskog is a great start. Mårts is doing the right thing here not to jump the gun and invite all the eliminated players at once, but those two will be there for sure.
Defenitely yes to: Enstrom, Hedman, Gunnarsson (if healthy), Eriksson, Landeskog
Potentially yes, but wait and see who could be eliminated in the first round: Enroth, Ullstrom, Wandell, Backlund (if healthy), Omark (if try-out is good)
I see a bunch of you projecting MPS in the potential line-up. Not that I wouldn´t love to see him at the WHC, but I think that the Oilers won´t release him from Oklahoma and it seems like the Barons will make it pretty far in the AHL play-offs. Or is there any word on the Swedish federation trying to get him released for the WC?

A safe bet is that Bäckström wont be there beacuse the Caps dont want him to, probly will blame the concussion or something like that.
And like someone else already stated, dont send a team full of old tarts like Petrasek, Magnus Johansson, Wallin, Davidsson. Good players but i think it would be fun with a young hungry all out attack team.
Is Enroth a better goalie than Gustavsson? He is available right now but has been a back-up to Ryan Miller all season. I say Fasth - Enroth is a pretty good tandem. The problem is we must keep a roster spot for Lundqvist, should he be eliminated. The depth chart might be Lundqvist, Fasth, Enroth, Gustavsson, Lindbäck and Markström. Personally I would find it cool if Lidström, Alfredsson and Johan Hedberg would join later on. The latter as a good back-up alternative in case of injuries.
Below you could see which players might be busy with the AHL playoffs. Some 8-10 games behind in schedule players would be eliminated earlier than in Stanley Cup to be available.

He'd be my first choice in NA outside of Lundqvist. Enroth/Lindbäck, what's their combined amount of starts since christmas? Gus sucks atm. Lack, Lehner and Nilsson are hardly even on the radar.

I think it's gone quite unnoticed that he's been playing in the AHL for the last little while. The Swedish HF can't do anything about that, and Paajarvi has to think about his NHL career first-hand at the point.
Why Gustavsson? I think hes a solid goalkeeper that could shut down some games completely. A bit incosistent yes but still a great GK
He is extremely inconsistent. Having followed him through the year here in Toronto.
He can absolutely fall apart under pressure, but yet again he can also be solid. Never know what you're gonna get with this guy. He's like a box of chocolates to paraphrase.
I lay a lot of the blame on the goalie coach here in TO though. IMO he has completely messed the monster up, as he also did with Vesa Toskala, and appears to be doing with James Reimer.
Hopefully Toronto does not resign him and he goes to another team. He might turn it around with a fresh start somewhere else.

Because I don't want to lock up too many goalies for the tournament in case Lundqvist becomes available. Fasth should and will be one of the goaltenders, and I'd rather have Enroth than Gustavsson.
I think they'll call one in after the first round of the playoffs. At this point it's Enroth. Could be Markstrom or Lindback too, I guess. Markstrom's currect form is unmatched by the other two. I'm starting to think Fasth is running out of fire this season, but a weeks rest or so could make a big difference. I can't imagine him being anything less than a backup.
A spot for Lundqvist will be held open regardless.
