I forgot we'd need a GDT. Woodhouse submitted a patent for the slogan of the GDT now: "iKwit"....can't say I blame him, let this serve as an official THANK YOU for the sick, respectable, legitimate GDTs Woodhouse. Fuego. Legit fuegs.

7-0 Bhauwstynne Bhreuwynnz

Loocheatch, Sayginn, Loucheattcsch, Lhieuxtcheetche, Kraycheeue, PooLeotte, Zhannynne

Enroth pulled after Lutcheach's third goal early in the seckquinnde.

Aside from all the other bad things about this season, I can not recall a season in which we had to watch so many horrible, boring, bad hockey games.

I put the good, fun, exciting games at somewhere between 5 and 10, and I think that's being generous. That leaves 72 (at best) losers to endure.

And yet this game against Boston might be the worst of the lot!

Please lose Sabres. A win could drop them 3 spots in the draft order.

Nothing could top this ****** season than a Jack Edwards stream tonight.

I hope we lose, big difference between 11-14. Then Nashville can be eliminated as quick as possible. (Sorry Nashville).

2002-2003 was pretty bad.

But then, no one expected that team to be any good.

A genuine "thank you" to Woodhouse for all his awesome GDTs. I'm sure he's got the design pattern down for doing them, but they are gems, and must be carried on next season.

Oh, there's a game today? I expect to see Enroth, now that Lindy doesn't have to drive Miller into the ground.

Lose for the picks.

Remember, good tee times are still available for tomorrow...

I'd say lose for the picks (3 teams can be overtaken if they win, all from West).

But I hate Boston.

Win. Just to play with their heads and have them enter playoffs after a loss.

All there is to root for is Pomminville's 30th goal of the season, it will be his 2nd 30 goal season and the icing on the cake of what might be the finest year of his career.

There's a game today? **** that. Tons of other things (and other sports) to watch and do.

Also, chat will still be open. No guarantee we'll be talking about the game

Thanks for the insane GDTs, Woodhouse! They were awesome, hopefully you do some next year as well!

I don't really want to watch, but it's my last chance to see Sabres hockey until October, so... I probably will. Will also be watching the Pens-Flyers game. That'll be a crazy series.

The Sabres have missed the playoffs three times in five seasons, and all three times they closed with a game against the Bruins.

The 2007-08 club finished the year with a 3-0 victory in Boston. Goaltender Jocelyn Thibault recorded a shutout in the final start of his career, while left wing Thomas Vanek had a hat trick to provide all the offense. Defenseman Teppo Numminen returned to the lineup for his only game after having a heart procedure the previous fall.

The 2008-09 edition also trounced the Bruins, storming to a 6-1 victory in Buffalo. Vanek scored twice to reach the 40-goal mark. Backup goalie Mikael Tellqvist stopped 34 of 35 shots.

No. 2 netminder Jhonas Enroth is likely to start today in TD Garden, but Jochen Hecht will not make a Numminen-like return from injury. The concussion-battling forward said he has not been cleared to play.

Coach Lindy Ruff expects the rest of the team to put forth a winning effort.

"You're a professional," Vanek said. "Obviously, it's hard, but come game day you focus. Everyone in here is a competitor, and you go out, do your best for 60 minutes, win a game and that's it."

So fate will have Enroth get a shutout, Vanek have a 4-goal game to get to 30 and Sabre fans will be left to ask "Why now?".

You don't need the smiley. It'll happen.

And then Roy will say "because there's no pressure on us!"
