Now, my Habs are gone and I decided I would follow you guys for several reasons:
1) I'm very familiar with your lineup for obvious reasons (Kots, Bouillon, Gill, Radulov....)
2) I watched Nashville last year against the Canucks, and they remind me a lot of the Habs in the 86-93 era: strong goaltending, great defensemen combined with some good forwards that play very well in the team system.
So, good luck!
BTW, how are Gill and Andrei doing since the trade?
I like Gill for the most part. I remember a lot of Habs fans telling us that he'll be able to get away with some more things defensively in the playoffs when there are fewer calls so that's something we'll be looking forward to.
I think AK has been pretty good too. He has developed good chemistry with Radulov and are now linemates, although it didn't start out that way. A lot of debate about if we will re-sign him or not. (Or whether or not he would want to return)
I've liked what I've seen from Gill. He's been pretty much as advertised: slow as a glacier, and I cringe every time it's up to him to release the puck out of our zone, BUT he's very strong on the PK and has really bottled things up against some top notch forwards. I've lost count of how often I've heard "deflected by the long reach of Gill" or "Gill gets in the way of that pass/shot."
AK came on like gang busters at first but has tapered off a little bit. I still like his offensive presence and energy. I'd really like to see him drop the hammer with some big hits as I've heard he's capable of. He hasn't really shown that side of his game to us, yet.
I think we've gotten exactly what we were expecting out of Gill and AK.
Gill is most effective at killing penalties and small forwards, but is turrrble at the point on offense. He actually has 5 assists...but a lot of that is due to his heady defensive play. Breakout passing has been better than I expected it to be. He might be slower than Andrew Brunette skating through quicksand, but he has surprising reach and has saved himself defensively on plays he was clearly beat on.
AK is streaky, to say the least...he's been bouncing around lines, though, so it's understandable. He has looked good with his brother, and Radulov, and occasionally with Legwand. I don't think any of us were expecting him to be a PPG player, but 11 points (4G 7A) in 18 games. That said, he's been having a slow offensive year, and his production has actually improved some in his time here.
As for Bouillon...lately he's been on a tear. 4 goals in his last 13 games...when he had 1 in his previous 87 (or so).
And another thing...I love this avatar someone made (that one I am currently using) BUT do we really want Pedobear leading us into war? This takes ****** and pillaging to a level I am not comfortable with. Unless he's also on the figurative wagon...
I'm going to go ahead and veto the Predobear idea. It isn't that it offends me, but I had to ask about whether or not Predobear would be acceptable as a screen name. Admins said no. That tells me that they view it as potentially offensive material

Oh, Indeed. LOLZ
But seriously...I have a 5 & 8 year old...I am fine with the Avatar...til I find something else more riduclous. Just have to wonder about the guy who made it ;^)

That avatar is awesome!!! That predobear is a staple over at otf.
Of course it has to be mentioned that he is riding the honey badger (aka Craig Smith)

Hahaha well it's hilarious because "predator" is a synonym for "pedophile" somewhat and Pedobear makes sense in that respect.
That said, I would have to agree with TMI and veto it. I bought a $6 "Don't Tread on Me" Flag on Amazon and am going to bring this slightly modified version to the home playoff games:

Haha that is great, but I'd like to use an actual flag to strap on my back and wave around occasionally. Someone else should go to Kinko's and print that thing out on posterboard though for the games!
Yeah hard not to cheer for Preds, awful year for Habs
Now can anyone give me advice on who will perform best for Nashville so i can take them in my playoff pool
Also Rads, Andrei Kostitsyn, Erat, Legwand (maybe), and Hornqvist. I would pick Fisher when he's on but lately he's been off so I'm not sure. But if he comes out playing, Fisher would be a good pick. He and Hornqvist have the most goal scores this year on our team. Another good choice would be Weber too. Some of the younger players have looked good too like Halischuk, Smith, Colin Wilson but don't know how they would play in the playoffs.

Unless something goes horribly wrong I'd expect good things from Radulov. He's gonna be out to prove he belongs here at the highest level. He's already far and away our best forward.
