The Sound Tigers Signed Minn-Duluth goalie Kenny Reiter to an ATO
http://www.hockeydb.com/ihdb/stats/p....php?pid=73817
From Mike Fornabaio's blog.
Quote:
Edit: Sound Tigers aren’t confirming, but Kenny Reiter, standout goalie for Minnesota Duluth, is headed here on an ATO, Kevin Pates reports; Reiter says he’s on his way in the morning. Reiter was the MOP of last year’s East Regional in Bridgeport before winning the championship.
I guess they plan to keep Clarke around too, for practice purposes.

Bridgeport won again 3-1 and Ullstrom has 2 goals.
It's funny looking at his statistics, over the coarse of a 82 game season his stats would prorate to 53G-13A-66P

Sioux fan here. I thought I saw on twitter that Brock Nelson didn't play tonight. Is that true? If so, any idea why? Was he a healthy scratch?

He must have just arrived, also Coach Thompson probably wants him to get some practice time in with the team and learn the system. He did this with former Owen Sound Attack foward Mike Halmo last week. Nothing to see here, move on folks.

Thanks for the reply. I was surprised he wasn't in the lineup and thought I would see what was up.

It's all good, I hope you continue to follow the Isles
, concerning Big Brock, when he plays I'm sure some people will be able to give some feedback on his play. Stay tuned.

You might want to try telling that to the teams that have already played 73 games this season.

They went to 76 to eliminate some of the wednesday night games which were getting the paid attendance to like 2300 in Bridgeport.

I believe is was also done to eliminate some of the triple headers they had (Friday night, Sat. Night, and Sun. night).

If Oleksy AND Landry aren't at kiddie camp next year I will greatly be disappointed.

1 night of Nelson..
Pretty strong on his skates, skates well, uses his body, willing to go to the dirty areas, tryed to get to open ice and was defensively aware....
I am hoping to see him and numerous other Tigers play 20 more plus games this season....

I'm not sure they will be. Not because of their performance, but due to the fact that Oleksy is 26 and Landry is 29. I can't really recall anyone at the kiddie camp who's been over 25 or over. I think its some sort of CBA thing, because you're entry level exempt at age 25.
I think the odds are high that they're both invited to training camp though. I could see Landry getting a good offer to play in Germany, Switzerland or Austria and he may take it because of his age vs. an AHL deal.

OT but the NHL should go to 76 games as well in my opinion.
It should reduce injuries a little if they can space the games out a bit more.
I don't understand why it seems the October schedule is so light and the March schedule is so heavy.
Plus I think hockey should be over by the end of May. Bruins won the Cup on June 15.
The schedule in Olympic years is even more ridiculous....playing 82 games while having two weeks taken out of the season.

Don't forget that the NHL is a business. Losing 3 home games is money out the window and the organizations cannot have that.

Yea I suppose that's the big reason why it won't happen.
