Would have been nice to win this one, but not surprised at the effort given it was a meaningless game.

Sadly, if Bryz starts, we probably win that game.

Well, it seems like we just didn't give a **** about that game. Shame that the Flyers seem to give no credence to a little thing called momentum.

Lame game. Neither team really looked like they wanted it.

Boy, the Flyers really sleepwalked through the 2nd and 3rd. I hope everybody feels well rested.

Neither team really played that hard in the 3rd period, the Pens probably played a bit harder because they wanted/needed the win.

The Flyers on the other hand played like they didn't want to get injured...

I'm not even being a homer but I'm oddly confident going in to this series.

Congrats on getting monkey off your backs! Only took a bunch of Flyer injuries and some help from the zebras.

If the government really gave a **** about people's health, they'd outlaw cigarettes. Instead, they produce these commercials when everyone knows that it all comes down to $$$.

it all depends on if we have to battle the Pens or the Pens AND the Refs

If the Flyers keep their legs moving and control the play we don't have to worry about that.

If we get to running around in the defensive zone expect hooking and interference calls. Its just how it is. The team who controls most of the play gets the majority of the powerplays.

If I were a Pens fan (God forbid ) and I was at that game to see the Pens beat the Flyers for the first time in the CEC I'd be cheering like crazy too

Say what you want about this game and how 'meaningless' it is, but I'm sure it means a lot to the Pens and their fans to finally get a win against Philly in the CEC

As a whole, he has done well what has been asked of him, but he's still not one of the 20 best forwards available to the team in the playoffs.

Regardless of whether or not his play or penalties he takes are good or bad, if the referees are going to target him he serves no purpose in the playoffs going forward other than to put Crosby and Malkin on the ice for power plays. For a series that will likely be dominated by special teams play, his spot would be better served by Eric Wellwood or a 7th defenseman.

People can argue how unfair that is to Rinaldo himself, but it's been going on the entire season, and at some point the coach and the team has to acknowledged the reality of the situation that he is more likely to hurt the team than to help it.

It wasn't a "normal hit." Michalek's back was locked in from the blueline in. It was a minor penalty that was overzealously called a major (if only because 'checking from behind' which gets called pretty much never, cannot be called as a minor penalty). These things happen when a rivalry boils over the previous game. Of course the referees intentions were to make sure things didn't get out of hand, in that regard it was accomplished. This is going to be NBC's lead series in the 1st round, so the team needs to be prepared for whatever that means.

I wasn't too concerned about winning today. Nice to see Jagr get a goal. The call on Rinaldo was amongst the worst all season. We still looked pretty good when we were trying. Hopefully with Giroux, Grossmann, And Briere we can convert on some goals.
