Montreal looks good tonight and the Leafs started their AHL goaltender; a montreal victrory looks very likely tonight.
Should be an okay game I guess. Raising my standards tonight and hoping for TWO points each from Nuge and Eberle
OT: I bought a pack of cadbury mini eggs today; these things are like heroin
well after the giant **** that Phaneuf threw into their tank the other night with his OT winner can't say as I'm shocked by that, after all a win tonight puts them out of the lottery for 1st overall.
- Last game coaching the Edmonton Oilers for Renney?
- End of the line for Barker's illustrious NHL career?
- Will Smyth/Khabby want another season after tonight?
- Will Eberle have the most successful season as an Oiler in terms of the last half decade
- End of this team playing in a lottery standard?
- Will RNH finish at a PPG pace?
All I want is Eberle and RNH to get points. Win, lose or draw.

-Will Gagner match or beat his career high in a season by getting 2 or more points?
I'd really like to see Eberle get 2 pts to finish as a ppg player... he'd be the only one in the entire Western Conference as well.
I hope RNH can get a couple points as well so he can finish as top rookie scorer. They should have a smaller version of the Art Ross for top rookie scorer... call it the "Learners Version" and hang some fuzzy dice or baby shoes from it.

Good one!
It's depressing to think it's coming down to the wire with Gagner. 15p in 5 games and he was somewhere around 36-37 points, still can't believe he didn't get to 50 points earlier.
Makes you think if he didn't go on a 3 PPG tear for those 5 games, how his season would've looked.

Yeah, as I've said time and time again, I'm a Gags fan but it's sad to think that he was on pace for a career worst year barring that torrid week.
1 goal Smyth, two goals Hopkins, and a goal for Gagner in the final minute to take it to overtime. Then in OT, Gagner goes for his second of the night with a loaded slapshot from the slot that is fired wide and caroms around the boards to a streaking Alex Burrows who abruptly ends the hockey game. HFOilers goes into a third straight post-game 'Trade Gagner' frenzy.

I thought he was good for 60 points at that time. Everyone (including me) was talking about how 60 was more than acceptable for a second line center and all the Gagner haters (including me) should shelve their comments.
And now, without his streak, his season would easily reflect the worst out of his total 5. Depressing is right.
You want to root for this guy, he works hard. But the inconsistency is starting to get unbearable. He should've found a little traction by now in his 5th year as a pro, especially given his abilities when he plays to potential.
