All u guys calling for Kreider.... Have u actually seen him play? If you believe he is going to come in and make a large impact... Good night. I've followed him for a large number of games, he is awesome no doubt, but the nhl playoffs are a step too big to pay immediate dividens

11/9: Rangers - Ottawa 3-2 W
1/12: Ottawa - Rangers 3-0 L
3/8: Rangers - Ottawa 1-4 L

That first loss was just ******** the bed in the third...
Throw out the 10/29 game because we sucked in October and Anderson stole the 1/12 game.

Understandable I guess. I just get very frustrated with some of the ridiculous comments we get after a loss.... I didn't see the whole game tonight but clearly the mindset needs to change. Let's give Ottawa a beatdown.

Oh, gee? Why would I think people are disowning the team? Maybe it's because of the "this team is a joke" OP, or the countless "we're missing the playoffs/losing the first seed/falling to 6th-7th-8th place/getting squashed in the first round, this team is a fraud" lines that have popped up after every Rangers loss this season. Give me a ****ing break.

The real season starts now. Andersen almost beat San Jose single handedly a few years ago. Chris Neil will be aiming for the head. Spezza has absolutely killed us all year. But you never know. 109 points is outstanding. Maybe the Craps will give Boston some competition. If we get to the second round, maybe we play the Craps then. The Devils have a walk over in round 1.

You can't just dismiss a game because "we sucked." We sucked the last two games. Fact of the matter is we aren't a good match up vs OTT. Can it change playoff time? Sure but this team needs to get their act, and defense (including Lundqvist) together otherwise OTT's speedy forwards will continue to walk around us.

Stupid is stupid. Frequent or infrequent it's bad either way.

This team still might win the President's Trophy, if they're a joke than every other team in the league is an even bigger joke.

i don't know what people want sometimes. from speculation about struggling to make post season back in October they won the conference, and could take the pres. trophy.

time for some rest.

I don't think anyone expects him to win a Conn Smythe. He adds some depth though which is still very nice.

You're gonna tell me the team we have now is the same team we had in October that started 3-6? Ok...

If they can't finish they are in deep ****. Simple as that.

Not going to blame Hank. He has to be better but if you go down 2 goals early in a game you need to respond. They didn't.

Time to man up now.

Worst game of the season for Hank hands down.

If I was him I would put the blame of this game on my shoulders. Show I have something to prove in the playoffs.

If he repeats a game like this in the playoffs, he will be suffering a Luongo comparison.

Say what you will about the defense crapping the bed for Lundy. But I can counter that with the way we block shots with reckless abandon(not many goalies in the league get as much shot blocking support as Hank).

With that performance he might have taken himself out of nabbing the Vezina(frankly I don't give a crap).

So true. I'm ROTFL at the childish 'Crosby-like' display of whining fatalism some on these boards have displayed regarding the way we played in the last two essentially meaningless games.

The 2 goal lead early, completely changes the neutral zone the rest of the game. Washington can take more chances on the breakout.

Weird, weird game. Rough loss, but it is what it is. We'll see a completely different team in the playoffs.

Presidents Trophy to Vancouver again. Oh well.

No but you can't dismiss a loss simply because we sucked. We played them bad basically all year is my point. I think we can beat them when it counts but you can't try to modify how we played them this season because fact of the matter is we just didn't play well against them all year.

If this team was now entering the NFL playoffs were every round was 1 game, I might be more nervous. As it stands, they are entering the NHL playoffs where a team has to beat you 4 times.

Exactly. Tonight we outshot them 35-17 and clearly had the territorial edge. Hank was bad, Holtby was great. We lost the game between the pipes. It happens. The thing is it's not gonna happen 4 times in a 7 game series.
