Oh wow THIS. Articulates everything about the playoffs.

Ottawa/Florida has to beat us FOUR, 4, Cuatro, IV, times. No need for alarm.

They are exactly the type of team the Rangers are not good against. A team that transitions quickly and has skilled forwards.

We cannot play a strong forechecking game against them. Sadly, I think Torts is stubborn and won't implement a trap scheme to adjust.

We are too slow on our back check to send too many forecheckers deep in the zone, or have Dman pinching in on the half wall.

Yes it does but that's not an excuse. The game changes through it's course all the time. Adjustments are made on both sides. Being down 2 early in a game should not be a death sentence especially for a first place team.

Lets hope the Sens don't recall their 4th string goalie from the ECHL... Lol.

It hasn't been that bad. They beat us once in the shootout and Anderson totally stole another one.

Alright look, I apologize for my OP frustration comment. I can't even remember the last time I posted out of frustration but I stand by my opinion that this team has played like a joke the last two games and my opinion is not something I'm sorry for.

I can't wait for the playoffs and I've put these last two games behind me.

With the system that we play, and our lack of offensive creativity. Giving up a 2 goal lead like that will be a death sentence in the playoffs. Just sayin.

Lookin' forward to the series. Hopefully, Lundqvist plays like this more often. We can hope, right?

Spezza, Alfredsson, Karlsson and company cannot be allowed unfettered access through the neutral zone. They love their short passing game, if they are allowed to carry that unchallenged, I expect to see some bad things.

Your team smells, Karlsson is dumb, and Bishop is too tall.

There, I shot first. Insults away!

A couple months ago I would of said your nuts. They've found a way to win all year long. Sadly they've seem to have lost some of that mojo.

I remember the first loss to Ottawa as the game that turned the season around........3 goal lead then the lost in OT. After that they tore it up..........go check the games played.

So it should be 2 to 2........anyways that means crap now........its the first see vs. the eight .........Rangers should get it together and win

Haha.. I'm just waiting for a lot of "Karlsson sucks defensively".

Off-topic:

I love your guys' announcers. When the Rangers played the Sens, they wouldn't stop praising EK. Very different from the Bruins' announcers.

EDIT: Game 1 on Thursday?

@stevezipay Brad Richards after 4-1 loss: "We were looking forward to the playoffs maybe a little too much....the level will have to go up."

For those of you suspecting a letdown down the stretch.

Torts: "We didn't play that bad...This team here, the New York Rangers, can beat any team in the league."

Which is exactly they need to clog it.

They can't be playing a 2-1-2 or a 3-2 formation against the Senators(or Pens for that matter). I say we trap the whole series and force Ottawa's backend to make mistakes on the breakout.

Our guys are good about that. They're knowledgeable about the opponents and aren't afraid to say it when they've done a good job.

I hope there isn't too much trolling. Should be a good series. Let's hope for no controversey. Philly/Pitt will have enough of that.
