I actually don't see anybody beating BC but I just can't bring myself to pick them to win it all. Denver/Ferris St has me worried since I have Denver making it to the Championship easily if they win that game. Michigan is overrated, Denver or Ferris St beats them. Darkhorse is UMass Lowell but I think their inexperience kills them in the end. After all, they went 5-25-4 last season. I'd like to see Maine go far but they pulled the wrong card having to go through the Bulldogs. Plus their leading scorer was injured during the Hockey East tourney.
Ferris state is gonna make it man... Guys are good! And I have Union beating Umass. Already won 20 bucks in my pool going for 40 if Union wins.

Yeah I had a feeling the winner of that Denver - Ferris St game was gonna make it to the Championship game. Denver can out way too flat. Picked the wrong damn team.

Haha can't be as bad as me! I had Mich State winning it all due to odds being against them sucks being an early exit.
I'm really enjoying watching this Union team. Very solid defensively and an explosive offense when needed.
The BU - Minnesota game got interesting at the end of the 2nd. Should be a fun 3rd. That arena sounds like an NHL home crowd for Minnesota. The place gets LOUD.
So how's the crowds like in NCAA hockey? attendance?
I enjoy the NCAA basketball atmosphere but the level of play makes me lol sometimes...so much airballs...I used to play b-ball when I was young/kid and was even qualifier for the national team so air balls always is funny imo I at least hit the rim... LOL

I love NCAA crowds. When the student sections get rocking only NHL playoffs can compare. In tournaments like this one, attendance really depends on which teams are playing in each arena. Like this Minnesota - BU game...the place is filled with Minnesota fans since it's being played in Minnesota. The only people I see cheering for Boston University are wearing green jerseys (North Dakota - huge Minnesota rival). If you watched the Union (New York) - Michigan State game you'd find the arena was fairly empty.
My favorite is the Beanpot tournament. The same 4 teams (Northeastern, Harvard, Boston College, Boston University) every year compete for top Boston-hockey pride. The four top corners of TD Garden are dedicated to students for each school. Here's a little BC goal chant:
If you're ever in the area check out Northeastern's old barn, Matthews Arena. It's the oldest indoor rink in the world. We're also known for being the loudest fans in Hockey East.

Hockey east has the biggest and loudest fan base.... Although I'm
Sure you euros can rival it
Btw I just put money on Union winning it all!!! Am I wrong tesser?
I'd say they're a good bet. I wish I was able to watch this team before the tournament. I would have definitely picked them over any other team in the East. That stingy D of their's will come in handy against the teams out West.
Minnesota looked fantastic against BU. Can't wait for the game against NoDak.
Minnesota looks strong in this game. NoDak's goaltender looks frazzled and the rest of the team is back on their heels. Don't see UND coming back but here's to hoping for my bracket's sake

EDIT: MN makes it 4-1. UND is toast.
Yah there done. Can't wait for the Union game this Thursday though.
